Was a great trip. Didn’t quite get our aj limit but we still made a good check and had fun. Hopefully going for some grouper soon but it’s hard to pass up on the jacks while they are open.
Getting better anyway. We were fighting weather in the morning so planned AJ’s and snapper. AJ’s close at the end of the month for a few months. Next month we will go for grouper.
Yeah it went well this trip. Almost didn’t go because of weather but one of the guys wanted to try it. Good thing because it wasn’t as bad as we were thinking and laid down nice by the end of the day.
If you buy comercial amo, it is usualy waterproof, if reload, nail varnish or a bit of superglue seals primer and neck, seemed a glanceoff. And(sharks) a bit of blood carries a long way with some current, plus everytime you shoot, you sound the dinner bell 🦈.But if you nick one they will back off. Most sharks you encounter are small( under 7 Ft) and You (6 + Ft) are a very large predator to them. They respect. My Biggest was about 12 Ft when about 15 Yrs of age. And then some 🤣And if one gets a bite of a catch things can become very scrarry fast. When a kid tried to shoot some. Almost imposible, But the Big ones came quite close but to big to shoot by myself whithout a powerhead. Nice catch
We don’t nick them but will put them in the dirt if they become a problem. For the rounds I think the first bad shot messed it up. It happens often with a bad shot and then the second try still won’t work.
