I think that this segment should of been in the full film as it shows that we do take care of where and how we fly and the laws behind it, which I think is important to convey to the public.
It’s amazing how it’s progressed over the years, long gone are the days of trying to go the distance on spectrum as there wasn’t much else out there. Even the recent digital video systems has been a game changer. Let’s just hope it’s a freedom we all get to keep in the future.
Where’s Sanders Sassen and Boris B. Or the blackout mini-h quad ? In my days those were the influencers that got me in the hobby . Just wish we had JB in those days 😊 thnx for keeping the hobby alive btw❤
My Sky Hawk had its days 12 Years ago. Remote piloting was and still is a great experimental hobby. The only Hobby that is like fishing. It cost less if you go to the Grocery store instead of building the boat and pole. I remember well how Trappy made over time a statement concerning the technology. AMA pilots and organizations lost their fuses at the time thinking the hobby was going to come to an end, insurance rates were going up and no more sanctioned hobby fields will be allowed. It was kind of a comical paranoia.
This doco is great, but leans a little to heavily on a USA centric view. There is the entire rest of the world, which was never mentioned. Room for improvement..... maybe in the sequel?
@@drakinfpv9629bullshit. Tesla created like the first RC anything (a boat) in the early 1900s. Up t until then RC was black magic. Especially since planes weren’t even a thing in the super early 1900s
Unfortunately these stunts contributed to the rules that affected the whole RC flying community around the world. Try flying a 4m thermal glider obeying the 400ft rule or finding a legal place in Canada to fly a float plane. 😡 I see why this part was cut. These stunts did not progress anything that couldn’t have been done in better ways, totally ruined other segments of the hobby, and made a large portion of the hobby hate FPV. I stayed away from FPV until this past year for those reasons. I admit it’s fun, but we would all have a lot more freedoms and options if this stuff was handled better.
