Commercial real estate has a lot to offer. You can buy a strip mall, you can buy a parking lot, you can buy a warehouse, but what about something a bit more fun? What if you wanted to buy a campground or maybe an RV park?
If you’re a rookie investor, you may have never thought about investing in an RV park or campground, but there are some serious benefits to them. Since these are commercial properties, your ability to obtain seller financing is far more likely and you can build out multiple streams of income from one property, as opposed to solely collecting rent.
Kier Vogt is analyzing deals for her first campground purchase. She already has a private-money lender, but has to find a deal that fits her purchasing power and her criteria. Kier shares the mindset behind going into this completely new asset class, and how you have to push through fear to cold call owners, send in offers, and finally get an RV park or campground under contract.

I think as investors we’ve all had the thought “I hope they accept my offer” followed immediately by “oh no. What if they accept my offer” Great episode. Thank you.

Just did my morning run to this show. Amazing to hear other women doing RE. This show is GOLDEN!!! I’m also in the RV camping mindset. Since Covid I think a lot of people need the disconnect. ❤🎉

Haven't watched it yet, but a campground is my dream property. Here's hoping there's some good info!

this shows you why you need a serious, experienced real estate broker - there are so many reasons why they can walk you through the process and make it as painless as possible ... hire a buyer's agent and stipulate that the seller pays the commission in your offer - if you're representing yourself, you're tipping the seller off and they will grind you like meat!

Seems like camp grounds and RV parks are at the height of what they'll ever be right now because of the pandemic. Everyone was wanting to drive to their destination to avoid airports and planes, hotels were closed, and camping or staying in an RV was the best way to vacation while also socially distancing. In the next few years as people go back to working in offices and being able to travel by plane and stay in hotels, the camp grounds and RV parks will start seeing a lot less people. You'll probably also start seeing a lot of used RVs for sale. Not sure that this is the right time to buy in. Then again, I don't know that market at all, just something to keep in mind.

Do you know how much money you need to buy a campground? Hundreds of thousands if not millions of dollars

Don’t ever move to Montana. It’s terrible.

she's not an expert ... she's a dreamer ... why are you treating her like an expert? I'm a real estate broker who has sold more than 60 mobile home parks - I'm transitioning to campgrounds ... she's just passing on information that she has collected
