On which lenses works Eye AF ?

I've tried a few. It works with 24-70 f/2.8G, 70-200 f/2.8 VR II, 85 f/1.8G, 50 f/1.4G, 105 f/1.4E. However, I think it would work with most G or E lenses with aperture f/4 or larger. Not likely going to work with f/5.6 lenses.

I thought the a6300 has the same AF as the a6500 and the mkII model A7's. Is it listed as supported on the box/listing?

If this is of any help, I purchased the "V" lens and tested on a rented A7iii. My personal findings: So-so! Strictly stills only. I have a D800 and have Tamron lens: 45mm, 85mm, 24-70 2.8 G2, 70-200 2.8 G2, etc. My experience this weekend was not that great with telephoto lens. Would work very well UNTIL I changed aperture. Would stall/shutdown camera. Numerous restarts, battery changes, etc and I eventually just left F-stop as it was (2.8). However...accidentally tried on my prime lens, no problem. Worked like a charm. This was great if I were just only using primes, but, why? Was trying to decide if I wanted to switch to Sony or not and tough to decide now. Again, just MY experience. Hope this helps some. Oh...part of issue was probably the aperature pin would get stuck and not project fully and caused issues and would not consistently lock the lens in place. I could have gotten a defective unit, but, I think I shall try the Fotodiox Fusion Pro. Tried once about a month ago. Worked very well. Didn't wanna spend $365, but...may need to in order to get good use of my lens. More testing to do!!

It works well with the Tamron 70-200 G1, and the Nikon 28-300 full frame lenses that I have. Doesn't auto-focus with the Tamron 150-600 G1 but I use it with manual focus sometimes. Since I wrote this reply four weeks ago, I've gone ahead and bought the Sony 100-400 G Master with the 1.4x and 2.0X teleconverters. They arrived a few days ago and the difference between the Tamron/Nikon lenses and the Sony native two that I have (24-105, 100-400) is substantial. The Sony lenses are faster focus and sharper for sure. I take a lot of bird and flower pictures. Tested out the 100-400 on Friday at a few wildlife areas here in central Florida. Yow. the Commlite also works with all of the DX lens that I have for my Nikon D500 including the 35mm 1.8, 85mm micro 3.5 and the 16-80 2.8. I get the built in vignette, however but really fast and sharp focus.

Quill back... I have a Sigma 150-600 that I use with my D7100 it is very fast and sharp. I was hoping to use that on my A6300 but I have yet found any info on it coupled with the Commlite V06. Even though you have used your Tamron 150-600 in MF how sharp were the pictures? If anyone has any info on the Sigma 150-600 working with this adapter I would appreciate the info.

I used focus peaking and magnification and got still pictures pretty sharp. I have a D500 and they are sharper on the D500 with auto focus for sure.

thats true. but there is that thing about canon lenses 'breaking' - have no idea why Sigma said that when they work (they do, right?)

Darcy Miller i’m using the mc-11 adapter (EF to E-Mount) for my a7II and it works perfect, the only thing it’s not that great for is video and when the light is kinda bad. other than that it works perfectly, even on the a7II

I´d like to know also how the aperture is read and controled using those AF-D and Ai lenses. And the manual focus assistance.

Hmm the a7iii should definitely work. Try powering off the camera removing the lens and adapter then putting them on in different orders before powering on (adpter first, then lens vice versa) I do know that if you remove/replace lenses with the camera on things can get a little weird.

I'm pretty sure the new adapters work a lot better across the board. My old Commlite is one of the first adapters released and the software (firmware) on it is a broken mess. Pretty sure they just optimised it for 2-5 of the most common Canon lenses and called it a day.

No the 35mm F2 works via the Screw AF from the body from memory. This mount required AF to be built into the lens!

I assume to get AF you need AF-I or AF-S - that lens is AF-D (old screw driver style) and requires a motor in the camera to focus the lens.

I don't have any sigma nikon lenses unfortunately....

actually, 24, 35, 50, 85, 135 form the art series are officially supported along with the 18-35 DX. I can confirm since I've personally tried my 24, 35, 50, 85 nikon mount art lenses with an A7r II and the focus is really ok. Just don't go for it if you need to track fast moving subject like birds in flight or sport action, at least with the old generation cameras (II series)

I'm still looking for a working Canon lens adapter on the A6000. I have one that works on the NEX F3, but with my Canon 10-18 it misfocuses on the A6000 :(. That is the Viltrox II
