Turning in too early, not looking far enough through the turn, having the most amount of lean at the exit, trying to knee drag to look cool, these common mistakes happen all the time by so many riders...every time I go out on a ride in the twisties, I see most if not all of these mistakes. MotoJitsu.com/courses to learn

Brother, i deeply thank you for those lessons, somewhere on the face of earth is a new rider whom his country doesn’t teach him shit about actual riding (seriously they just give you the license) and he learns from your lessons. You my friend have saved alot of human lives with those lessons. Thank you ❤

Want to get your cornering practice in: try the Sidewinder on Route 66 in Arizona near Oatman. 191 turns in 9 miles. Ride it, then ride back. Almost 400 turns in an afternoon. Whatever you need to fix in your cornering and turning will get fixed there. That aside, great video as always. Nice to show what looks like a class. Was this an MSF course?

All good but ever since you made me understand what counter steering is and then I tried it I am convinced that I do not know anything about bikes, actually right now I have reduced my riding speed by far and want to know how beginners get used to the quick response of counter steering? I really wish that you had a video on that because counter steering is amusing but then again mostly terrifying.

Dear Greg, first i´m greatfull for a lot of helpful tips! i started with 7 years to ride a bike... and drove a longe time without it and under the radar.. but know i diceded to get my license. I´m now 40 and finally i got my "officall" license 3 month a go.. In this "small amount of time" i drove + 6000 km without a crash and in Germany one of the most commend routes are is the "Harz"... a also hard and respectfull route with " thousands beuatifull and hard corners".. It ist just a say thank you for so many tiny advices and helpful tips! 'look where you wanne go" and start the corner in withe your comfortable amount of speed! it is not impotant to have your knee on the ground to look cool!! My expericene is: you dont realy need to put your knees on the ground to get your " stupid chicken strips away"! i can to do it also to ride carefull and with the known amount of knowlege and upcomming speend without to put my knee or ellbow on the ground.! and THIS helps me to ride safer! THX Greg! and kepp pushing futher with your helpful tips! Best Regards from germany!

Hi Greg, I've been doing exactly as you said and my cornering is coming on just great. 80kms corners now I'm taking at 100kms and super careful on all aspects and totally enjoying it. Your advice has been priceless. Now speed, line, exit and counter steering is so simple. Im only a new rider but i have learnt quickly because of your teaching. Thanks heap,,,,,, keep up your great work and videos.......... chow, STAY SAFE.👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

Knee dragging > everything
@ducaduke
@ducaduke Год назад
When I first started street riding. I associated good riding as one who drags their knees or elbows to me. That meant a good fast, wicked rider. But as I got more experienced and rode with more people. the fastest guys I knew didn’t drag knee. But instead followed the rhythm of the road. And their bodies moved slightly in whatever direction the turn was.
@Amerigo73
@Amerigo73 Год назад
Yes, that's a great observation. A bit of body positioning can bring you very far. You will also see that these riders hardly every brake, and it's usually a very smooth ride if you follow them. Rhythm and flow, as you mentioned. But make no mistake: those riders can be fast as hell if they want to and nobody will just follow them if they don't want it. But they decided to do this on the track,, not on public roads.
@asiancairrou6232
@asiancairrou6232 Год назад
no wonder the fastest riders dont drag their knees on track right? 🤡
@Amerigo73
@Amerigo73 Год назад
@@asiancairrou6232 Look. On a public road you can go very low angles with just slightly moving your position. If you want to go full speed, it's different. But all those people dragging their knees on public roads usually don't go very fast. It's done because it's fun, not because it's a physical requirement.
@asiancairrou6232
@asiancairrou6232 Год назад
@@Amerigo73 youve really seen nothing bruh i can tell. I mean sure you met some guys but they really arent going the limit
@Amerigo73
@Amerigo73 Год назад
@@asiancairrou6232 Yes, I don't ride with ppl that go full limit on public roads. I do this on the track. So you're right, I think a full hang-off is not for a public road. Knee sliding alone is not a full hang-off and it can be a lot of fun.

Riding since 83 100,s of bikes, dozens of country's Never down , never drop. Dakar completed at 45. Ride fjr at 58 now Ya old man bike I know Dumb shit and the endless street crap I see all over you tube gets you killed If you can Remember one thing. Move your head always Have a plan at every intersection. Assume every car is going to do something to you Relax and enjoy Don't do street crap.
@jamesledet784
@jamesledet784 Год назад
I don't know why they say turn your head as if it is what make the bike turn but it is not. It's your hands that make the bike go where you turn it. If that was the case the you would not be able to turn your head to look around while driving straight. Turning your head does not help the bike turn.

If you watch a professional they do the same head and eyes turn vision line turning points and exits. Body position has more need at faster speed to reduce lean angle at faster speed and reduce risk.
