Your right about never knowing what you might find and it can be an eye opener what some people think is safe electric. That extension lead screwed to the wall is just unbelievable.

Can I ask for advise please. I'm new to pat testing having just passed my exams. While PAT testing a band saw in a workshop I experienced a tiny spark and pop during the test. Is this normal in some cases and if so could you explain why? Thanks for the videos they were a great help in my "training". hope to hear from you soon. Vic

Could of put a few nails through the cable to hold it to the wall! Problem with this is most of these jobs are done by mates not electricians!

Hi Ben, with all that equipment failing, what would your job from there be? Just fail it all and walk away, or remove it and inform somebody? Cheers.
