I’ve adopted a minimalist lifestyle and sometimes I catch myself thinking “I should checkout Marshall’s or Target at lunch.” Then I think…”why? I don’t need anything!” It’s such a bizarre but empowering feeling!
I do not miss having multiple hair products and a bunch of makeup. I also used to go to CVS and walgreens and just buy so much cheap makeup and nail polish. I get mad thinking about how much money I wasted in my early 20s on that stuff.
I am the same way now, I don’t waste money when I’m feeling lonely, I try to do other things like organize or workout to fill my time! I also don’t follow trends anymore or keep up with the latest things and honestly it has made me a lot happier just doing my own thing and liking my own stuff even if it’s old or not in style
Hello Kyra, You are absolutely right in doing research about the ingredients that go into our food and in everything we put on our face, body and scalp and also our home cleaning products. When I was diagnosed with an autoimmune condition in 2006, I started delving into this topic. Back then, there wasn’t much information available, but now there’s so much more out there. I am still learning new things and we do have to be mindful of greenwashing. Not everything that appears to be good and healthy truly is.
I don't miss throwing money away on make up and cheap clothing. I used buy clothes just because they were at a low price. I stopped wearing a lot of make up and I do not miss it 😊
I switch to use (not as exactly minimalism, and as a conscious human) aluminum free deodorant and SLS free shampoo. And I try to use other make up products (I use make up on workings days or when I am dating😊) vegan and cruelty free. And recently I got my first second hand little cross body mango bag for in dollars for 25 cents😮
kyra, i’m glad you’re always giving us more content to enjoy but lately i’ve been seeing you upload almost every day. please take it easy and make sure to rest in between. you might consider saving some videos for later even if you already filmed them. take care of your health aswell ❤
Thank you so much for your concern! I actually only post three times a week. Posting just once a week would only bring in around $15 or less, which makes it hard to cover even basic bills. By posting consistently three times a week, I’m able to make a little more while I’m actively looking for a full-time job. The job search has been tough, but I’m hoping to find something soon. Once I do, I might take a long break from RU-vid. I also wanted to share that I’ve shifted my content to focus more on helping you all save money and live with less, instead of sharing personal vlogs. I feel this is more meaningful, especially when so much content out there encourages buying things we don’t need. I know it might come across as repetitive sometimes, but I’d rather be real and honest than promote things that aren’t helpful. Thank you for your support and understanding - it truly means the world to me. ❤️
This is the deodorant that I’ve been loving (they have different scents but this is the scent I prefer) www.amazon.com/dp/B0973GJNCC/ref=cm_sw_r_as_gl_api_gl_i_YP9GEBVC48WFRW4J65V7?linkCode=ml2&tag=kyraann-20
