i think it'd be cool to see some analyses a few of the older groups (infinite, nu'est, highlight, shinee, etc.) where the members have known each other for a decade+ now!
As a Yuta stan... I can confidently say that he does seem more reserved, serious, maybe more mature on the outside. He's not overly expressive or affectionate BUT if he is close to someone, like Mark for example, I think he's willing to let his walls down. I think I am the same way. My favorite members are usually similar to me.
doyoung and taeyong are an interesting pairing because they're definitely close but here... haha. it seems like they usually show affection by teasing each other, giving compliments behind the other's back (mainly taeyong does this) and giving gifts (matching friendship rings that they often wear, doyoung had a custom necklace made for taeyong when his dog died, etc.). anyway, thank you for analysing more nct content :)
they're both passive af with love and affection (mainly to each other) and i think that is what makes them a great pair. Like usually in pairings, there's one who is over affectionate and one who is passive, but since they're both passive, it makes it very funny and strangely cuter.

They both are really emotional people, and they don't want to be too serious about this so they almost want to hide their bond with this kind of "I'M NOT HIS FRIEND lol" attitude. Johnny & Haechan are often the jokester/mood maker of the group. But they're also two members who can be quite serious and introspective. They have a very high EQ and social awareness so they know exactly what kind of energy to bring into the room/conversation. I think their similar personality is a reason they've been roommates for a few years now. Doyoung & Taeyong are extremely close, literally brothers. However, they're somewhat reserved in displaying their friendship or at least, being openly affectionate with each other. I think Yuta's personality is like water, mostly calm but can bring a big impact when needed. He seems to be a healing presence for the members. He is also very protective of his members and will stand firmly to support them.
The accuracy of this video is 98%! As for Doyoung and Taeyong, they are known as the Tom and Jerry of the group because they bicker at each other a lot but at the same time they often show their affection towards each other so to answer your question ig it's both.

I think you would really love the interview that Korean Englishman did with Mark and ....I think it was Doyoung. The two guys from Korean Englishman are Josh (who speaks fluent Korean) and Ollie (who barely speaks any Korean but is hilarious in any language). I think you''ll find the dynamic between the four guys really funny, sometimes awkward but super enjoyable.
Yuta is definitely on the more quiet and reserved side for the most part. He seems to shift in how outgoing he is according to the environment often. When it's just 127, and less staff etc around he really opens up more and loses a fair chunk of the reservedness. He's genuinely really funny, and can go from quiet and just chilling to bringing NCT to tears with laughter in seconds. I think it's his mood swings more and he really can change in how he presents himself according to how he's feeling, so some he is very quiet, others he's causing chaos for the heck of it to have fun and following his own agenda. The NCT life shows really showcase the more outgoing side of him, especially later seasons. One of the more recent ones he was pulling pranks and little jokes constantly and making up his own rules for games to make things more fun.
Haha Yuta is an intresting character. Hes known for being a compulsive liar in a light hearted way when he is in his bursts of chaos. But when its over he can be very serious and supportive. He has his up and down moments of being mischevious and being professional. He is also very artistic and passionate which makes him seem scary or intimidating to people who don't know of NCT
Yuta is pretty serious and he is also obsessed with Mark. The two of them are very close but I think that Mark is awkwardly social so I feel like he kinda struggles with open serious conversations because he has to put himself in a vulnerable position.
It's quite funny to see how every reactor who watches this friendship video thinks Taeyong and Doyoung have an awkward relationship hahaha. They're definitely close and in fact, one of the closest pairs in NCT. I think NCTzens who are familiar with their dynamic can see that they are purposefully being awkward/playful with each other here, but I can also understand how non-NCTzens would think they aren't close through this video lool idk if I make sense. Mostly, I think they aren't as comfortable publicizing how close they are with each other, especially in this setting.
i dont think they are purposefully being awkward, but rather the environment and situation is making them present that way. in a different environment, such as when they are just on vlive chilling in the dorm, they act very different, you can tell how much they love each other, even if they arent super expressive about it. i love tys and dys chemistry, their dynamic is very interesting and they are honestly one of my favorite duos in nct
@@azdawn264 yeah its kinda awkward when you're asked to express your affection for each other in ways you are not used to and also in front of the cameras XD like, "SPOTLIGHT, TELL US SOMETHING YOU LIKE ABOUT THE OTHER PERSON". it can be disorienting. Like i have a difficult time writing meaningful things on greeting cards, but i dont have a difficult time saying something meaningful spontaneously when it pops up into my mind.
Haechan definitely plays into him not being fluent in English as a joke because he likes to get on Mark's nerves lmao. He has gotten a lot better though but even now he sometimes purposefully will make mistakes to lighten the mood - on that note pls react to NCT Dream I think the best way to get to know them is to maybe just take the jump and watch their Chillin in the Dream series where they're totally being themselves or they were recently on Rain's show I think it's called B Season that one is really good too to get a read on them
I think part of Taeyong's arm crossing is protecting his relationship with Doyoung too. It seems behind the scenes they share a lot in terms of responsibility for the overall group's health together and have a very sensitive relationship together.
Haechan really is very charismatic on and off stages. He just has this innate spotlight to him, even if he wasn't an idol he'll still be very successful in life haha

as for Yuta i agree, he’s one of the most reserved members, i often notice when he speaks he seems wise and mature.however he can also be bubbly, playful and affectionate in some situations. he’s also known for his love for Mark and Winwin, he treats them like his little brothers and gets super excited when he sees them.

I agree with your point on Johnny’s adaptiveness. He seems so mature in comparison to some of the other members but he’s also funny & lighthearted right along with them. 💚
And yeah, it will be nice if you see more about Taeyong and Doyoung :), the thing here is that I think they are very shy. And when Doyoung says: he's handsome nothing more than that (laughs) it's because he always verbally hides how much he appreciates Taeyong. Your analysis is very accurate! I think it would be interesting to compare their behaviour in these American videos to videos that are less formal, or Korean videos where they all feel more comfortable. You can definitely see how at ease Johnny, Mark and Jaehyun in English speaking content. I find certain members, especially Yuta and Mark, are much more outgoing when they feel more comfortable, like in videos from the NCT 127 youtube channel.

i kinda see me and my bestfriend of 9 years in doyoung and taeyong's friendship. we are both comfortable with each other to the point where we can curse and just be ourselves but when we talk about things like our friendship, we become "quite" awkward talking about it and just laugh things off.
When I first started getting into NCT, Johnny immediately caught my attention even if he wasn't my bias yet at that time. His vibe was always just so warm and welcoming, he jokes around a lot and makes people around him feel comfortable. You could put him in a room with any member and it wouldn't feel awkward at all! You can see that in his JCC videos, he usually brings another member along and he engages them in the activities and conversations. Like you said, he sounds very genuine whenever he speaks and Jaehyun also mentions that he's a good listener. Overall, I think Johnny's the one we'd all love to be friends with ☺️

Taeyong said that Doyoung helps him when it comes to leadership, Doyoung is his right arm kinda like, the big brother that the other members rely more and Taeyong's support. Thank you for reacting on NCT interviews! I rarely paid any attention for the interviews or some sorts, but NCT have a different vibes to me that makes me listens to them even I don't know them very well... like somehow I feel related to them as siblings, not as an idols/artists all sorts.
As an NCTzen who follow their content a lot, I find Yuta Mark friendship interesting, because Mark expresses nice things while looking down or being shy, but feels warm about his own feelings, he's a serious reserved person, but he's more open and goody when around people he accepts as older brothers like Yuta or Johnny. And Yuta is someone who tends to deal with things by himself and even tho he's a professional story maker, he's really mature, chill, strong personality and emotionally wise, but he allows himself being affectionate towards Mark. While they're together it's fun after being sincere about their feelings separately, roles reverse and Yuta avoided gaze, but leaned in for the touch, while Mark looked straight towards him.
Yuta's not stern or overly reserved, I think he's just being professional in this video. He seems like he's not as comfortable as he usually is in this interview because he wasn't confident in his English at the time this was filmed. He's a pretty laid back person but can be very energetic, one thing I really like about him is his sense of timing, he always knows the perfect time to speak or crack a joke, he's a natural in social situations. I fully agree with Mark that he's the type of person you can be comfortable around.

a few others have mentioned this but their series it’s awkward but it’s okay! it explores the dynamics between members who don’t know each other well because there’s so many members and they may not have been in a unit together. the episodes with johnny and i think it was jungwoo? were really good
Loved your videos! Glad that you pointed out Haechanie's use of English, I was also amazed by it. NCT once filmed a murder solving show, Crime Scene, and one of the hints was in the science book written in English. One of the members (iirc Doyoung) skimmed through it and put the book back. Afterwards Haechan just came there and despite the fact that his English was clearly not enough, he tried to read it anyway, find the words he could understand and grasp the text based on that. Succeeded 👌 I hope you'll continue to deal with NCT! Especially waiting for NCT Dream, even though they can be loud, their bond feels like a real healing.

Doyoung and taeyong's relationship is very intriguing, they're obviously very attached to each other but sometimes I wonder if they ever had some kind deep unresolved emotions or a fight at one point because they sometimes seem to get emotional and somewhat melancholic/sorrowful/sad/regretful? For unclear reasons (especially visible in the to you series). It's just the way I interpret their expressions but they definitely have a very deep emotional history
even though it contains other members from nct (not just nct 127) i feel like it'd be beneficial to check out nct's youtube series, "awkward but it's okay".. I'm not exactly sure which episode, but still it explores the awkward relationships within nct since there;s so many members and not everyone is always super close or at least, not yet.
