I gotta say that after learning about Gnosticism and gnosis that you sort of seem like you seem like you are a bit of a gnostic guru yourself with your support of a new Liberalism that only you know the correct way to go about. Still love you and your work though. Just don’t fall for the gnostic trap albeit in a different way because you are surrounded by a bunch of people who are using you to push something that is going to ultimately turn into its own gnostic system. Just remember that these people can dismantle anything and reassemble it as auxiliary to their thing. That is literally their gnosis. That any idea that manifests in the public mind is already part of their own gnosiological system because any idea that manifests in such a way literally cannot exist apart from it. All things converge unto the undifferentiated all.

It's abstruse to a lot of people, but I appreciate you going into these fine-grained distinctions. People forget the strains of Progressivism that went into the Nazi party. It was a confluence of all the world's worst ideas. The incentive for these activists to do what they do is that if there ever is a revolution there's a chance they'll be the faction on top and can win it all.
This is excellent, but no normal mind can digest all this, so just like all of James' other lectures, I will be listening to this several times, and also reading the notes.

I have learned so much from James. I am an Orthodox Christian, and he has helped me put so many puzzle pieces together. Praying that James, one day, becomes part of my tribe, but, for now, I appreciate his allyship. I think I saw you from afar, James, at the DC March for Kids event. I think you were in the balcony. Excellent lecture. Mr Lindsay is a brilliant mind (with great sense of humor) who ACTUALLY calls it what it is and may I say exactly what I've been warbing people about for years... Because I always look at CUI BONO and what are the always repeating patterns under different names. I grew up in(West) Germany with osrents who lived through the second, and grandparents who lived through BOTH World Wars. I always lived history and the use of language, how patterns repeat and how methods are adapted to the same end. I'm fortunate that my osrents encouraged reading above all. Thank you for this 👏👏👏
The late Chuck Missler was ahead of his time. I used to scratch my head as he alluded to certain aspects of a global institution and its push towards a global government being grounded in communism or taken over be communism.
I wish James would read "Witches Abroad" by Terry Pratchett. To me it presents a perfect exemplar of communism within a fantasy setting, which is to say exactly how communists wish they could operate.

Ikr, it's a narcissistic ideology, which is why it keeps bubbling up, like the noxious gasses emanating from a cadaver underwater as it decays. I'm old enough to remember 1991, when it seemed to many people (myself included, unfortunately) that the fall of the Soviet Union had _FINALLY_ proven -- to the majority of people -- that communism on a nationwide scale (let alone internationally!) will always end up in death and mass destruction. Unfortunately, there will always be narcissistic people, and whenever a narcissist has sufficient charisma, he or she will be able to attract desperate people with the belief he or she can create utopia.
I've listened to every single episode of James's New Discourses podcast, within about 5-6 years, some episodes multiple times, and also other people talking and writing about the same subjects, trying to get the gist of what the hell is going on... and this stuff is still HORRIFYING.
The biggest problem that I see with all of these ideologies is that they fundamentally misunderstand the necessity for conflict in the growth and betterment of an organism. We are not meant to always live in harmony and peace with each other, evolution is a process that requires conflict to drive creatures to improve and overcome the conflict. All of the greatest innovations of mankind have been the result of competition whether this means Wars or competition between rival businesses. We need cooperation and competition in equal measure. If we have too much of either one things go wrong
The Economic and Philosophical Manuscripts were written at a time when Marx was still using Hegelian language and synthesizing Feuerbach's materialism with it. 20-30 years after that is when he wrote Das Kaptial. The manuscripts are only useful in so far as understanding Marx the person rather than Marxism.

I guess I understand more of what you are against. I would like to know what can one do or be involved with to counteract this? Is religion the answer? Or just awareness? The World Economic Forums vision for the western world, is one of Global Socialism. Countries will still have different names, but they'll have the same laws and class structure; being that there will be a filthy rich minority, and a struggling majority, with no middle class. Christianity will be discouraged, while Islam pandered to(or at least until western culture is eroded away). Small business will be rare, and most people employed in large WOKE corporations or by the government.

A meta-organism is not the same concept as an organism. Humanity as a meta-organism is defined as a humanity that is capable of working together as a unit towards a common goal, for instance to solve an existential crisis, such as an incoming asteroid. A non unitary humanity would be stymied by conflicts, in which some groups would be striving towards preventing its impact, but others would strive to ensure that the astroid would kill us all.
I am enjoying these lectures, and learning a LOT. A shame James is a little wrong here and there, and has some hypocrisy within himself..... but I am not expecting to change his mind. I will just use his mental labour (like a communist) and learn all the things, without becoming his friend and joining his own religion.
It had dawned on me, maybe a year or two ago, while looking into Lindsay's claims about gnosticism/hermeticism, negation theology and the first cult ideas of the monad that this all could be seen as the ultimate "one-upsmanship." "God is this . . ." "No, God is so much more than that . . ." "No, God is even more than that, that we can't even begin to imagine what God is, only what God is not," etc. Each vying for the ultimate definition of God.
They are after the human soul. We even have an example from Great Britain, that a person can be arrested, charged, tried and sentenced for praying in their mind if that person prays (in their mind) within a certain distance of an abortion facility.
All political systems have the transformational qualities of a religion. That's how new ideas and ways of relating to each other and the world come about, no? Also, fascism can be understood in terms of a unifying state narrative arising at times of instability and cultural decline. They key is the psychology. Namely, collectivism taps into our notorious herd instincts, splits us in two and takes us into a mass psychosis.

Under Marx it would be considered an imperfect attempt at Socialism because they didn't advance to the necessary historical stage of Capitalism before revolution. Under Engles they failed because Russians are incapable of it.

Lindsay says Marxism is a syncretic religion. Such religions borrow from other religions. Marxism borrows heavily from the Book of Revelation. The Socialist Utopia is the New Jerusalem. The World Revolution is the Battle of Armageddon. Marx is his own messiah.
