Community Centre's glulam arches 

The Community Centre's glulam arches were craned into position on Thursday, 19th April 2018. The arches were constructed in Reuthe, Austria - weighing around 3/4 tonne, and form the main frame of the building.
The Community Centre, a replica of Coundon and Leeholme Community Association centre near Bishop Auckland, will be the first building to open in the Remaking Beamish project 1950s Town development.
Thanks to money raised by National Lottery players, the Remaking Beamish project has been awarded £10.9million by the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF).
