The world's first steam locomotive, the 1802 Trevithick. This is the working replica based today at the Blist Hill Victorian Town near Ironbridge in Shropshire, England. It is 3 foot gauge and runs today on rail made from steel angle. Originally, this rail was of similar profile but made of cast iron. The locomotive is shown here being presented and driven by Andrew Walton of the Denver Light Railway works, who's team also maintain the locomotive.
