@@marushall263Go outside. There are people who look young. I'm 34 and people think I'm in my late teens or early 20s because I'm baby-faced, but that still doesn't make me a child.
@@marushall263 buddy, my 50 year old mother has been hit on by 20 year olds that she actually told them she's old enough to be their mother. Also it is hard to portray that age in animation as depending on people (like not being substance abusers) they aren't young but neither are they old enough for Grey hair to be abundant and wrinkles are not obvious. So can you pull off a middle-age adult in that art style without making them look too old?
This isn't even a "1000 year old loli" situation. Even with her younger-looking appearance, Lusamine looks like she could be in her 20s (i.e. still an adult).
Yeah looking at those pics, I cannot imagine any age lower than 20. Even that's stretching what I'm capable of warping my mind to. But 20+ is not a kid by any stretch of the imagination.
@@falcongamer58 well that's actually not correct, it's been sadly proven that little girls can have kids at WAY too young. From memory the youngest girl ever to give birth was like less than 10 years old. So being able to get pregnant does not directly connect to being an adult.
@@kempolar9768 it was 5 and definitely an outlier, it doesn't apply to the rest of children of the same age. Just like some adult aged people who haven't reached puberty due to a health condition The general rule is still consistent
Being surprised about Lusamine's age is a huge admission to being a tourist. She says she's 40 when you first meet her. Idk how Pokemon has tourists but that was one of them.
It's not even about being a tourist, this is just stupidity of the highest level, like how is bro surprised that a clearly adult looking character have the age of an adult...💀
Remember folks. Anytime you see some idiot claiming some anime girl image is a child or tries to gaslight you by calling you a pedo, there is a 99% chance they are projecting seeing as they see children in everything since children are always on their mind.
It's like the word racist, except being called racist by a woke leftist is a compliment. Being called a pedophile is a compliment only if your name is Dorontabi.
@@rprealist4869 nah elderly people do that to their OWN family members... not some random people or a literal PNG from a game... if youre related to someone far older than you, the related person is always gonna see you as a little kid no matter how much youve grown since then.
To be fair, Lusamine did look younger than she actually is but to assume that she was underaged is just far off the mark. Like she looked at least early to mid 20s
My own mother looked like she was in her 20s when she was in her 40s, sometimes being mistaken for an older sister instead of my mother when I was a teen. Some people are just blessed with good genes. She still looks 40 at 60. I hope I got that part of her genetic deck.
Yeah, it was even part of the joke when the boys see her and get surprised when she says that she is past 40. It is literally one of the first things she says. Just shows that the people that complain about this sort of stuff don't really play the games and are themselves aging like a passion fruit forgotten on a desk drawer in the summer in their 20s, so anyone that looks good to them must be a child.
Funny thing, the game actually acknowlages that she looks far younger than her age, im pretty sure there is an actual lore explamation on why, but i dont remember what it was.
Now due to kuck musk just letting people be able to make copemunity notes, now one has to deal with brigades of idiots who slurp up the wrong notes, basically the pan bunda tweet got brigaded due to the false accusation
When you think about it, which group really has the 'dirty mind'? My money's on those going around calling everyone the P word for enjoying anime characters as they automatically assume it's for sexual reasons.
It would piss off both countries, as they have a lot of bad blood going back hundreds of years that continue to this day. The long historical grievances are as deeply rooted as Ireland and the UK.
@@richardomilos8686 NK and also China, where there's a matching long history. My East Asian history teacher was from Korea and basically I got the impression that the long history of bad blood between Japan and Korea was not as bad as basically everybody nearby's with China. (To get a rough idea if you only know Western history: It's a lot like if the European colonial powers had been a single country, and started the colonization efforts locally...and were bigger jerks & never really stopped believing they had a 'right' to their colonies.)
@@ryohoshi8445 nah im aware that the region was like the balkans but with more water and less resorces however they have been doing better on that front no?
@@richardomilos8686 Not unless you stick China in the role of the Ottoman Empire. China historically believed that Han China is both the center of the world/universe and the Only Civilized Place/People, with all that implies, and it's debatable how well they've done at moving past that belief...
Seriously? Lusamine is just a wealthy mother in her 40's, her child are teenagers, those idiots needs glasses to understand which character is a child 😒
You know what's funny? antis always love to throw the "1000" years old thing despite no one saying it... this would imply that it's the looks that matters... but then a bunch of antis says not to make nsfw of fnaf characters because while it looks like an adult "there's a child possessing the animatronics"... so it's the canon that matters? antis... at least be concisest with fictional drawings
And don't forget the potential garnish on top of the sundae: When they retweet or like tweets of a decidedly teen male character shirtless at best or getting his collarbone covered in teeth marks by another male character. Yaoi seems to be kosher among some of these people.
It is also amazing how they always get things backwards. The reason you don't post naked children online, is because they can't consent to it and it would be harmful to a real person. But they instead think that the reason is because they dislike pedophiles, and the goal is to make sure pedophiles can't enjoy themselves. I.e. the goal to these people are not to help protect someone, but it is to harass and attack someone.
The Lusamine situation is a great example of the moral panic regarding children and the absurdity of the grift it creates. The notion that liking a character or a person who can be perceived as "minor-coded" is somehow condemnable is absolutely ridiculous. Preferences have no value in terms of morality. Ultimately, what matters to society is how people act, not their thoughts/preferences. Only actions can be truly evaluated as good or bad.
And it requires efforts, that's bad. Why would you want to go outside just to help real people when you can just defend fictional characters from your sofa?
ok to be fair, their wording are not wrong, Isekai doesn't necessarily mean reincarnate, it just mean a different world. But given that it is IGN i am pretty sure they thought Isekai means reincarnate genre only#
@DaWhiteGibusman While the literal word "isekai" means "different world", as a narrative device, isekai is when a person from one world (usually our world or one similar to it) is transported to a different one. The method of transportation doesn't matter, whether it be reincarnation, summoning, or timey-whimey mumbo jumbo: what's important is that some kind of transportation occurred. Frieren is a High Fantasy, not an Isekai.
@@DaWhiteGibusman I applaud your use of "technically correct." (Not sarcasm, I do that myself...) On the other hand, if you use _that_ definition, "isekai" loses all meaning, since it covers just about every anime that isn't slice of life based. (Tell me that a genre that contains Sailor Moon, Dragon Ball, Soul Eater _and_ Madoka Magica can have any sort of useful description...)
@@DaWhiteGibusmanno they are wrong Isekai has nothing to do with reincarnation it just means "another world" Meaning a series must have at LEAST 2 worlds for "another" world to exist There is "currently" only one world in Frieren
@@DaWhiteGibusman I think you are giving ign way too much credit here. Wouldn't surprise me at all if while making that article, they went to my anime list to see what's the most popular, then went on google images and used the first image shown. would take 2 mins to do that.
The Community notes violating people account got violated by a community note. Poetic and ironic. And also pathetic. It shows that they only care about that clout, since they don't delete it even after people pointed it out.
Funny thing about the Helldivers one? You can buy supercredits, that is true. But the only way to unlock new weapons is through the in-game 'requisitions' currency for summoned weapons, and through the earned via gameplay medals. Supercredits are only useful to unlock Warbonds and to buy cosmetic armor skins.
I find this hilarious because I was in a recent debate as well as conversation with someone about "can you make a woman with a flat chest and they still look like an adult?" I was an idiot to not have any examples for the first few minutes, and humorously enough, she was my first example of that. Now we're here with people claiming she's a child, even though she's in her 40s and is a mother of two...... (Yes, they state she looks younger than she looks, but that's because they assume she was in her 20s, not underage.)
I remember a few months ago a movie starring Tom Cruise (I think it's a Mission Impossible movie) where Tom's character has a love interest with a woman who is 20 years younger and people were calling him a 'pedo'. Tom Cruise is in his 60s and the woman playing the love interest is in her 40s. We have reached a point where being a attracted to a woman in her 40s makes you a 'pedo' because she looks young.
We've reached an impossible situation. It feels like any character without marked curves is treated as a child because they are flat which is probably what happened here, but on the other hand if you do give them some badonkers you get flak for drawing unrealistic characters.
@@Fordo007 Wrong. There is one way to avoid controversy: You hire a "consultant" who will constantly browbeat and harass your art team to both "Meet appropriate standards" and "Justify getting paid a ludicrous amount of money." And then she brings in her friends, because if you say no she'll report you have a hostile, toxic work environment, and then her friends bring in more of their friends, and then they get promotions, and then the dev studio collapses because nobody wants their swill, and then they get hired by their friends in other companies who are doing the same thing, etc. etc.
Lusamine has what we call in the real world asian genetics. She'll likely look like a young beautiful 20 year old women until she hits 70, at which point she'll quickly age until she looks 100.
@@toomanyaccountsStill a tomboy I’d say. There are different types. There are women who like male dominated hobbies and interests and dress similar to men… and there are women who like male dominated hobbies and interests and dress feminine.
Reminds me of when I used to use GameFAQs there was a guy there on the PS4 board arguing that Vert from the Neptunia series is just a toddler with tits. If you don't know who that is then look her up and have a good laugh at that stupid logic.
Funny how the same people who love to rant and rave about body positivity and acceptance are all about body shaming people that don't fit into their viewpoint.
It's not just a phenomena you see in anime. There are a PLENTY of 40+ year olds looking younger than they really are. Its just a symptom of a world where woman/men have access to better food, skin care, exorcise- and healthcare. This is NOT a new thing, you can see compilations of youtube tik toks memes of people making viewers guess their age, only to reveal they are like 3 TIMES the average guess given! My own Cousin is 50 and she STILL looks 21!! Seeing this transition into anime should be normalized! Humans don't suddenly INSTANTLY become wrinkly and grey haired at 40 anymore. It's about time more anime incorporated this as well. Especially if it's in a world similar to our own modern one.
Gura isn't in her 40s, but she has said on stream before that people at the airport thought she was a lost child once because of how young she looks irl. Hell, I remember a somewhat viral article a few years ago about these 3 women all looking to be the same age... One was the grandmother, one the mother, the other the daughter. They all looked like they were about 20.
@@MurasakiTsukimaru Depends on when your family has their kids. Some of my in laws have their children at 15 so it's a great great grandmother by age 60.
@@williansnobreYou made me think of that one family in 100 Girlfriends where everyone looks like a small child (GF looks like 12, parents look maybe 10, grandma looks 5 or 6)
Okay its getting to the point that any female character that doesn't have visible wrinkles, isnt curvy or overweight, doesn't wear make-up and business suit/dress, isn't at least 5'5, or isn't just straight up a old woman is now "A literal child!". These people...😮💨
We were already at that point, an "adult actress" had to go to court and provide her birth certificate to defend someone who watched her videos because she was short, flat and all that so "OH MY GOD SHE'S A CHILD" was in full effect. So yeah, once you hit drinking age you baloon out, wrinkle down and swell into a greasy, bruised meat ball or you're a teeny bopper.
Seeing what has been going on over a period of time, I am increasingly led to believe that there is a coordinated attack on anime art style in its entirety. Seeing how pixiv and various sites have to change their terms or policies, whatever they are doing, it is working. Even Pokemon have also moved away from Japanese anime art style and made their characters more ugly. There is no choice is there? It is just whatever the West demands.
people who dont know that Lusamine has two kids... never played the game... literally two of the earliest characters you meet in the game, and one of them is the first character you see in the opening cutscene....
And Come on, even if you didn't... LILY LOOKS EXACTLY LIKE HER MOM!! She even dresses similarly to her... Anyone with even some braincells, might be able to connect the dots! But people aren't even bothering to use their head for a millisecond
However, there's also been a case of them not doing research and embarrassing themselves. Dragon Ball fans got mad about someones reply and some 14y/o added a note claiming that the poster was a pedophile, with the source linking to a Discord image with a Gogeta meme. Obviously people celebrated it and the Community notes violating people account used it for clout, refused to take it down when people pointed it out and then got noted themselves. You could make a video about that.
I vaguely recall hearing of a study done to manufacture male zygotes with female DNA but that the operation would require spinal fluid and that the resulting 'male' zygote would not carry a Y chromosome. Assuming I've remembered correctly, technically yes that would result in two females being able to have an offspring that is more or less guaranteed to be a female as well. This is a pretty big 'if' though, and that assumes the whole process actually works and is more than just theoretical.
My granddad once said "If you keep your mouth shut you can't stick your foot in it.". It would be nice if people on X/Twitter went by that, but then we wouldn't get fun videos like this.
It's really concerning that there's people trying to blur lines and are trying very hard to make being attracted to beautiful women seem weird. Hell, they were really out here trying to argue that Eve from Stellar Blade looked like a child somehow
Lusamine personality doesn't even sound like a child in anime. To think there are people actually see her as child character when her's already a mother.
The It's always sunny post makes sense. It's less about selective outrage. It's more about things getting grandfathered in. If something became famous and successful being edgy in the past then it's harder to cancel because it is already established. The money men know its successful so it will take more for them to shut it down. If you target new projects it's much easier to convince the business men that its not worth the risk and they are more likely to shut it down.
anime character age doesnt matter, since some look like child but writer can said she 1000 y/o however for this case Lusamine, she looks like an adult, just young for 40 y/o but she dont look like child at all
Best I can remember, premium warbonds are locked behind a paywall… a paywall you can get past by buying the cheapest super credits bundle… after that you can buy them using medals you earn in game
If people just learned 1. What an art style is, 2. That petite people exist, and 3. The meaning of what a PDF file is, the world would have true peace.
Technically, genetically, if 2 women could produce a baby together it would always be female. If 2 men could produce a baby together it would be non viable a quarter of the time, male half the time and female a quarter of the time. It's weird but I've read about them making "viable" eggs out of skin cells so that sort of odd future may not be that far away.
Again, with me: IT'S NOT REAL!!! Otherwise for every intrusive thought there should be a cell in a jail, waiting everyone. Fantasy and reality are 2 different things and in the fantasy world you can do ANYTHING and not be accountable for it. The internet simply solidifies those dreams. I know this is not the case, just pointing out the root of a problem that doesn't exist
Literally the only thing these posts prove is that some people REALLY don't like "anime" artstyles. Which is fine, but calling it "pedophilic" just because you don't like it is beyond stupid.
Some mangakas/animation directors just want to go for a cutesy style What you need to watch out for are "people" who look at that and think they can get away with their sick desires. That's when it becomes a problem
@@DrDolan2000 I mean, fair enough. Like, I've never really been a fan of the "thousand year old loli" trope, but I'm not gonna start slinging pedo accusations because someone likes a character that is one.
At 3:20 -- to be fair, with all the time he's worked on RU-vid, I'm 100% sure he knew that was a clickbait and misleading title. People should still at least look over the video before making tweets about it, though. At 7:13 -- paying for advantage is still paying for advantages, no matter how much you like the game. Even if the huge fiasco that was Star Wars microtransaction hell a couple years back decided to walk back their microtransaction intensity, it would still be pay-to-win. Instead of being able to "earn super credits" which pretty much every PTW game does, I think a better argument for Helldivers not being PTW is that it does not have PvP.
Look you need to understand. These people are not mentally well and think a person is a png profile pic. They don't know what a human looks, acts, or thinks like.
12:40 The note is incorrect. An egg can be in-vitro fertilized with any cell, doesn't need to be a spermatozoid (level of success decreases drastically, though). If that cell comes from another woman, the resulting baby will always be a girl, because there is no Y chromosome available. The Egg is always X, the fertilizing cell would be XX, and spermatozoids can be X or Y, and that's what defines the gender of the baby. If an X spermatozoid does the fertilization, the baby will be a girl. If a Y spermatozoid does it, it will be a boy. Removing Y from the equation, as the X/Y spermatozoid gets replaced by an XX cell, there's no chance for the baby to be a boy.
2:50 To be fair I can see why people assumed Mark was quitting with that title, right after MatPat's big leave. but they should at least watch the video first
The funny thing about people defending helldivers as not pay to win, but then you have the same people saying that dragons dogma 2 is pay to win.
