I went to PSU in 2001 and lived in a high rise apartment alongside the campus. Portland was beautiful and well run. There were a few homeless who would gather along the river, but they were not a problem. I left for Austin in 2002.

Voters let it get so bad because they listened to screaming children (no matter their actual ages) tell them that police are racist and need to be defunded.
