For me this isn't a "maybe sometime" purchase... this is a "must have asap" Its simply terrific to know the dedication and effort you guys are putting in bringing this to market. 900BRZ steered me here :)
Appreciate all the design, hard work and R&D you guys put in to your products. Can you please test to see if the ACE A350 header fits the new GR86 Verus oil pan?
Thanks for putting effort towards solving this issue. Personally, I would trade .3L of capacity for more room around the stock headers plus the capability to accommodate aftermarket headers. I could even do .5L over on this pan and then having +1.5L from stock.
Thank for your interest and your feedback! We've been made aware about the community interest in the use of aftermarket headers. There's a lot of factors and trade-offs at play here. We'll be sure to update the community as soon as we have a definitive route!
Omg so many questions! But to start it off, 1. Will we need an aftermarket header? Would it come with the kit? Catted? 2. Are you worried about heat transfer into the oil pan? Heat shields?
We appreciate the interest! 1) The pan is designed around the OEM header. 2) Yes, we are. We will work on heat shields and gold foil tape but between heat management and oil pressure loss, we feel oil pressure loss is a bit more crucial to engine longevity. Oil coolers are a great option for heat management.
This is looking awesome. I have been waiting for this to drop to figure out if I'm going JDL catted header or staying stock. Thank you guys and 900BRZ for putting this together.
@@SGTPJmy initial impression is it will fit fine as the cat is on the other side of the pan and the headers themselves are way less bulky compare to stock setup with its heat shields. Just need Verus folks to verify. Will be a day 1 purchase for me
Hello guys! You make a great job! It would be amazing if this still fit with at least some aftermarket manifold or if there would be some "safety space gap".... Even at cost of small decrease of capacity. At least I hope it will fit to my HKS manifold :D
My theory is that it simply doesn't have enough oil left in the pan and sloshing paired with long drainback time makes it worse. It could have been designed this way for packaging reasons and running less oil improves emissions and fuel economy targets from reduced pumping loss. These days manufacturers are making variable pressure oil pumps in some cars so it's not wasting energy pumping oil when the engine doesn't need it.
FA20? We haven't confirmed fitment, but we would assume not. We also haven't heard of oil pressure drops being a major issue with the last gen 86 and BRZ cars.
@@VerusEngineering I saw the same pressure drops in my gt86 on right hand corners on a 200tw tire. If a basic 0.5L overfill doesn't help I would consider this upgrade assuming it fit of course ha
