It is a rainy Sunday and I haven't gone for a bicycle ride for a while, so I go south along Old Darby Road to Como, an area in Montana that is now characterized by an old schoolhouse and a crossing of the Bitterroot River. I show a bit of the bicycle route and natural topography, and then talk about the schoolhouse and the history of communities in the Bitterroot Valley.

Gorgeous Countryside. I dug the views of the creek/river. Good to remember the early settlers and ponder their lives before cars.

(I thought I replied to this, but it isn't showing) Yep, although one thing is that the time "before cars" only lasted a generation. For the settlers, at least...obviously the native people were there for thousands of years without cars!
