I just quoted to buy oranges, barrels, containers and some medical equipments from India. Most of it were 2-3 as expensive as China. I'm an Indian myself. At the risk of being called non-patriotic, I have to say that there are way too many systemic problems and slow/poor decision making is one of them. We're still largely bureaucratic and corruption is widespread. But there is still plenty of potential once we overcome these challenges

I always love to hear news from India. It is always full of optimism and promises but sad to say this: It often comes to nothing, just hot air and a good dream. My prediction is that the gap between India and China will grow bigger, at least in the next 20 years.
