There should be a french faction with the following doctrines... retreat- special retreating abilities such as auto retreat when the enemy has been sighted Maginot Line- A defensive strategy that can easily be bypassed Resistance- Can spawn soldiers that will not attack until liberated
Yep, already downloaded it ^^ For my own part I think they made the Soviets unnessesarily complex. Not that there's anything wrong with complex RTS games, but compared to the other armies the Soviets just have so...much...of everything. I mean, they have 6 different tanks! And an enitre building dedicated to upgrades, with tons of different options, each draining a relatively large amount of my resources which should have gone to producing units. One thing I do miss with them is a heavy MG tough
btw it did not really work that great in real battles because the dogs where to scared to run under moving tanks so it only worked when the tanks didn't move
Often in large battles they'd assign 2-3 people per rifle, or have the second wave lesser armed than the first - its like playing "relay" with guns.... :s
yeah the Soviets had some great tactics, brutal tactics but very effective like strapping bombs to dogs and train them to look for food under German tanks and then blow them up.
Yes, the heavy MG is something they shouldve given them, they did afterall posess them I do feel however that this, among other things forces u to develop a completely different stratagey to the other factions, much like the brits are so fifferent fromn the yanks, as are the PE & Wer I love playing as the Soviets, their tank hunting troops really do a good job while waiting on ur own tanks Overall, id say 'because' of the varying options, they make the Soviets a fantastic faction Roll on COH2!;)
So I don't mean to be rude or anything here, but people who post videos advertising mods usualy provide the download link in the description, makes life so much easier for those of us watching who would like to download it...That, or at least say what the actual name of the mod is in the name/description

I agree, in Allied there should be USA, UK, Russia and France, and in Axis Germany , Italy < and Japan. With all of them have different story in campaign like Japan vs USA in the Pacific, etc...

Yes you can install the mod you will have two launchers 1 for launching the modded version and the original one to launch without mod. And it was not made by the developers but the developers are working on company of heroes 2 and CoH 2 will be all about the Soviet Union.
Does this mod have a separate executable like the Blitzkrieg mod, or does it install right into the CoH folder and starting up vanilla CoH will start this?

It's annoying when I see stuff like this. The French (and indeed the Polish) had the worlds best training regimes at the outbreak of WW2. the only problem was seeing as they had taken so much punishment from WW1, and the fact that they won the first and believed the same tactics would work again, they weren't prepared for Germany's tactics. In a fair fight, the French would have won, but Blitzkreig was ahead of it's time by at least an era. besides, French Legionaires
but I did have a strategy the "trow as many soldiers at them as possible" strategy work for the Soviet Union in world war 2 and work for me in Company of Heroes
Having played the Russians, they aren't that bad. Basic infantry and vehicles are cheap and easy to mass produce but are made of tissue paper. Hell, unless you research certain upgrades, half your conscripts don't even spawn with guns.

Think u need Oppossing fronts or Tov, but if so, honestly, u can get both those expansions for next to nothing, say from Amazon or wherever. But yeh, I think u do. Google Eastern front mod & go to their site, it'll tell u there
