I bought the 7.5 over a week ago and even driving it stock coming from a Mk5 GTI tuned, I still enjoy it and can’t wait to tune! In no rush! Plenty fun for me, and sounds so good!
Having owned a 2014 MK7 GTI PP, a late 2017 MK7.5 GTI and now an early 2019 MK7.5 GTI PP I would suggest that if you are considering a 7.5 then be sure to purchase a later model fitted with the 7-speed DSG and not a 6-speed DSG. The later model is far superior. Buy a PP version if you want the best and with DCC the car is exceptional. I would at all costs avoid an early 7.5 due to cabin noise issues.
I just bought a 7.5.. The Headlights are what sold me. The mark 7 looks very bare in comparrison, IMO. I used to drive a 2011 GTI, and the 2019 SE feels like the same old car but on steroids :P
Very! Its held me back from upgrading my Polo GTI because I just don't feel that connection to the Mk8. I expected better after how amazing the Mk7.5 was!
Thanks for this video, I just sold my Fiesta ST180 so looking at a next upgrade thats more family friendly, so I wanted to know the major differences. Perhaps a question, the MK7, does the radio come with Android Auto/Apple Car Play as well? This is one thing Ive come to love when using my wifes car.
👍Pleasure, thanks for watching. I don't believe the mk7 2016 and prior has android auto/apple car play. Depending on your budget and whether you're financing I would suggest don't get a used mk7 most of them are very poorly maintained! Mk7.5 has android auto/apple car play. If you're looking for something similar but family friendly I would suggest a Polo GTI AW 2.0 (2018 -2021) Thats my current car and I love it!
@@carcrazyguysa4059 thanks for responding. I am not 100% convinced on the Polo GTI although I love the previous gen more than current gen, just something about that shape, also new Polo GTI is slightly smaller than Golf, especially boot size but not much, but its an option for sure. Thanks for the suggestion though, will maybe go check Polo GTI in person as well. Currently not in rush to buy, waiting for a good deal to come up on 2nd hand market, buying new is just crazy at the moment.
@@RiaanW12 Sure 👍 Perhaps go check out the Polo in person compared to the previous gen its so much more spacious (I owned both) Really there isn't that much difference between the Golf and Polo. New market is crazy definitely! But at times there are dealers who still give decent deals. Good luck with hunting for a new car, definitely don't rush it find the one thats best for you!✌
We don't get trim levels in South Africa as we are able to freely spec cars how we want them. But if you were to compare, both of them would technically be Autobahn trim.
