I've just bought a modern LG2 but to hear those original ones is just such a joy. Great playing, great small guitars, and great short, straight to the point video. Thanks!
Hello John. I have not forgot about you. I am slow but building a small Parlor guitar before I start the Building of the LG-2 style that you helped me with the layout. I will keep you in the know.
I actually read Kalamazoo Gal, great book, thanks you! I have a 1964 LG1, it doesn't have the longitudinal brace on the back a the banner one has. I wonder why the difference, perhaps cheapnes
Thanks! Yes, the bracing is a matter of economics. The Banner-era LG-1s were X-braced with fancy rosettes and purflings. The later LG-1s were ladder braced and had fewer back braces. Still very cool guitar, though!
@@johnthomasguitar no problem :) i wasn't sure if i was wrong either. i just realized last night what i thought i had was an LG-2 but its actually an LG-1 ! 1955
John, what is the Chance of getting you to do me a Favor. Trace the Body of your LG-2 guitar body and mailing it to me? I sure need a copy and can not find one.
