Good comparison -- agree on all counts! Jabber is held back by being so fiddly and less fun than the UT, wihch is too big and strays from the source material. Jabber also breaks along the arms/car sides, I think Paik's broke there around the die cast and he wasn't the only one. Jabber meant to have that rear skirt folded down, and Buzzing's knee covers slide up to hidethe square joint.
Nice review, TM! The taller one looks more like a classic G1-era toy, but the other one looks more like Blurr and stands better on the shelf to represent him. I feel like if you have the money, get both, and if not, get SS-86 Blurr and fuhgeddaboudit.
Just watching this now. I've had Buzzing for a few years. He's definitely out of place with my other movie figures for sure. I didn't get Jabber because he was too much and then the breakage issues started surfacing. And now he's gone up quite a bit. I'll replace Buzzing if someone else takes a crack at Blurr. Maybe X-Transbots or Takara will do one soon.
I agree with your opinion. I have UT Buzzing and he towers over the other 86 movie bots. I'm going for a toon accurate look with my collection and, after watching your video, I will be looking for Fans toys version.
When I read the Headline, I thought FT was a slam dunk, that FT would run up the score and be a lopsided victory, however as your vid went on, I found myself agreeing on many points. I think Unique could have stolen a point in Alt mode if they had painted that Grey Box on the rear the proper color. Looking at the Alt modes in comparison to the Cartoon, Unique was more accurate I think overall. UQ has a more swoopy side in relation to the carton than FTs, and the front is also more pointed in relation to the cartoons in comparison to FTs. The Sculpt, however, i found myself giving that point to FTs. I have always been curious to see if a 2nd Updated Rendition of a character would do well. For example Unique takes another crack at their Blurr. FT tried it with their SeaSpray, and surprisingly it's the rare one that has nto sold out and is available almost anywhere you look, is XTBs really that good? Excellent fair and unbiased comparison on 2 takes on a character.
😎 📹 as always 👍🙏, u know y I love that other intro 🎶 because it gets u hyped 2 👀 a gr8 review, and then I 👂 this and its like vacation 🎶 😁🤣👍, but thanks again for the 📹 keep it up brother its always good 2 have more than just 1 vs, for a figure, hopefully we'll get some more Fanstoys in the near future 🤞
I hear you on the music, I like to switch it up so decided to use this one for VS and the other one for regular reviews, thanks for watching and commenting
TM, another great video...better than the other guys...but either way, the viewers win. I was fortunate enough to get Buzzing from a collector on Ebay for close to MSRP, which is impossible for FT now...I like the articulation and a bit of breakup from the cartoon ...I did the same between ironhide and ratchet...may not make sense but I have the stylized ones as "older warriors." That and availability with cost lol I like buzzing for his looks, moves, and presence with my other movie based characters
@@asaphmartinez4225 LOL No way.. Takara does a great job far as look. All they need is to make it more sturdy. They need metal parts like in the beginning MP -01
This video only serves to reinforce how awesome it is to be a collector nowadays. We have really good choices! Also who gives a fuck if someone has done this comparison before? That doesn't mean you can't do it too. I hate when people say that shit LMAO #StillSubscribed
I don't know why someone would feel they need to point out a vs video had previously been done. I know for myself, I watch numerous reviews on figures because each reviewer has a unique perspective. That goes double on a video such as this. I know I have been looking forward to this since you first mentioned it. Jabber is one of the few figures I have not transformed. The '86 movie bot's alt is less important to me, due to them not being based on anything real. It is why I never purchased any G1 versions at the time. I am a bit disappointed I will never see the alt mode, because they did do an amazing job on the alt mode. Value is a a pretty subjective thing to try and be objective about. Pretty hard to have as a category. Great vs. I went with FTs because it kills the sculpt, and I love it as an action figure.I have put him in very cool poses on the shelf. It is too bad he is not the best transformer. Thanks for the video. I know these vs have got to take quite a bit of time. It is always appreciated.
Lowell. I understand exactly where you're coming from with multiple people and their thoughts...shit, it's all opinion anyway...you can take or leave it. I liked Buzzing because of the variety of ways to pose him. Mainly I am not paying such a heavy late tax for a figure that breaks the sculpt when you position the legs...but Jabber does look good Just be glad TM does swallow right by his microphone...some other reviewer does it...it was pointed out and now I can't unhear it every time.
