Hi Jeff, thank you so much for your content! I've passed 4 rounds of interviews and a written assignment at Google, and last week I've landed an offer on great terms. Waiting for my first working day - keep doing your awesome work!
Jeff- I wanted to say thank you for all the free content you post about getting a job at Google. I watched all your videos after a colleague of mine recommended them for my Google interview. I ended up getting an offer and these videos helped so much throughout the entire process. Thanks a lot.
Aakashdeep, 70% is calculating the total compensation of a non-technical role. And I encourage candidates to specifically use 70% of a Software Engineering salary average simply because this the most robust data point in any location.
Hello Jeff, thank you for your informative content. I have a question about the compensation of Google. If Google offers a candidate L3 position, but in case the candidate is earning more than the average table of L3 in the current job (Let's say, the candidate is making around as much as L4), is there any possibility that Google offers as much money as L4 to L3 position?
Hi Jeff, thanks for all your videos . Those are really informative. As having 15 yrs of experience for a Google Accessibility Analyst role how much salary I can expect for google ? And this position is being interviewed for Austin, Texas. Please let me know how much I can negotiate for ?
Thanks for this information. Please post more short videos like this, I think your base would really like it. The Lives are great but usually during work hours and over an hour long. Tough to tune in during work for that duration or watch the full replay. Keep up the great work!
Darell, you and are aligned, the original idea for this video was a short, but I thought it would be helpful to go through the exercise. The plan in April and May is to add A LOT more shorts, thanks for your comment!
Hi Jeff, great content as usual! Im offered a maternity leave cover fixed term contract sales position that does not include shares. Should I negotiate a higher base salary? It's a role im EMEA. What's your take on this?
Dear Jeff, Google Software PgM level 5 remote/Dallas with 20 yrs total experience / 5 yrs as PgM. What would be TC range over 4 years. Thanks for all that you do. More power to you.
It's been 2 years since I started watching your videos and yesterday I just landed an offer for a technical role! Your information in your videos is incredibly valuable!!!!
Jeff, hahahaha, maybe! The lives have been driven towards comp lately because of my willingness to always give the range a shot, but hopefully this video will help. If i answered all the questions and the lives no longer need to happen, I have achieved an awesome goal 😂
Do you have any advice for non-technical roles? Specifically for an ABP. I am finding it really hard to get any sort of reliable data on accurate expectations for comp.
Sam, watch this video for an ABP role - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-VDrDcxjHV_A.html. And this specific video that you commented on should help you determine an ABP salary in your market.
Hey Jeff! Thank you for putting this out there for free. Extremely useful information. Was wondering if you have any insight into LATAM comp for Google and Amazon? It seems they are quickly ramping up hiring and unfortunately we do not have any good sources of information such as levels.fyi here. Curious specifically around L6 EM roles. Does targeting 140/150K yearly TC comp sound about right to you?
Jon, what market specifically are you targeting in LATAM? If there is no data at all in your market, I would try to look at a comparable market where there is data. Follow up with me if needed or hop on our live this morning.
Hey Jeff, can you make a video or provide a quick explanation on how to approach a technical judgement interview for a new grad TPM position? Love the content
Kyle, technical judgement is all about how you utilize technology/data to make decisions. So make sure in your technical judgement interviews you are driving results with these items both in your examples and when problem solving.
DCCC, pick the closest geography to your location, but remember, these companies pay for cost of labor, so do your best to determine a location that will pay similar.
Hi Jeff, Thanks a lot for your videos! I am negotiating for Amazon L5 Business Development Manager role for India location. What should be the salary (average, range) , please suggest. Also please share tips/video reference...Thanks!!!
Pra Nar, first of all, amazing!! I really don't know the range for Biz Dev roles in India, but the calculation of 70% of an average L5 Software Engineer at Amazon in India should be accurate. So, anchor high and really push to get a higher year 1 and 2 sign on and more equity. I want you to push on the base as well, but that likely will not move much, good luck!!
@@jeffhsipepi Sure Jeff:) Also please suggest.. I have 13 years of experience (strategy & consultative sales), but not in actual sales while this role is into hard core sales.. I tried for L6, but they are saying L5..Is it a good level for me? Also when I receive the offer, should I counter them just once considering current scenario?
