For ANY stationary or slow guardian, USE THE SHIELD WITH A AND DEFLECT THE BEAMS. Have a shield at the ready and get fairly close, then hit A once you hear the Guardian beep before shooting it's laser. Works like a charm.

@ONI While I can usually get it, and have found the timing on the beep or flash is a good indicator (at least at the distance I usually am) i get it about %80 of the time. That means I usually loose a shield once every 2 or 3 walking guardians (as they take 3 perfect timed parries).

actual easiest way is to drop down the hole right in front of the shrine on lomei labyrinth island. there are like, 50 broken guardians down there and only a few activate when you are close to them. every blood moon it's tons of free ancient parts just laying around. even if you make ancient arrows to kill the ones that activate, you come out way ahead. just build a fire down there and keep waiting for blood moons and you will have more parts than you know what to do with

or if you have some ancient arrows kill some guardians cause they drop lots of things, the rarest drop is two giant cores and the most common is lots of springs and gears and if you are lucky then there's a few shafts

You’re right about when playing the game for longer, you get less scared of enemies! I remember when a simple bokoblin would fill me with anxiety when now a Hinox is easy to face and I’m not even that far in the game!

In the beginning of the game and even in the middle, I was so scared of golden lynels I would run away when I see one. Now I use them to get strong weapons and star fragments.

You don't even need any fancy strategy to kill a Hinox either. Just have a good weapon, Attack or defence armor on, I prefer attack, and stack that with another attack potion or meal, and avoid their butt crusher move, and just go for the legs.

Here's my guide! Kill the mobile ones with the master sword. Kill the stalker ones with the master sword. Kill the sky watchers with ancient arrows. Don't waste your ancient arrows on mobiles and stalkers. Also stock up on Ancient Bows.

Quick tip for ya +Verlisify, if you can manage to take down the Lynel either for the Zora mission, or the random one that hangs out in the coliseum ruins south-southwest from the Central Tower and the Kaam Ya'tak Shrine, you'll be able to loot a Lynel Bow, that shoots 3 arrows in a tight horizontal spread for the cost of one arrow, which makes bodyshoting the Guardian Stalkers a much easier prospect. Also makes it more forgiving if youre going for crits. Also one more tip, pick up hard on parrys. The Stationary Guardians can be killed with a single shield reflected laser. The farther you are from it, the easier it gets to time it, just be ready to parry when you see the blue streams charging.

Important note if it hasn't been covered in the comments already: Upgrade your stasis rune as soon as possible. It is perfect for holding the guardians still for a second or two in order to line up a shot! Also, when you have some more durable weapons, you can get extra item drops by cutting the legs off of walking guardians.

actually for lighting the blue flames. there's a path below. light one of your arrows on fire and shoot down towards the lanterns in order to avoid all monsters. I think I ended up only having to light 4 before I was able to run up the hill with a torch

I DO RECOMMAND ANCIENT WEAPONS, they are the most powerfull weapons in the game and the 1 sword version have insane durability. They have a COLOSSAL power boost from the armor set and deal even MORE when eating food that boost your attack (double damage bonus)

it doubles its power when near any calamity or guardians. also the hylian shield can tank almost 40 guardian shots before breaking and after you get it, it takes 3,000 rupees to get a new one.

You forgot to mention something very important. Regardless of how good your bow is, the ancient arrow will always two shot a guardian. That means that the duplex bow can fire that value shot for an instant kill regardless of where you hit the guardian. Guardians have an AI where they will try to avoid your arrows.

For stationary guardians the master sword is great, I believe it lights up because the guardians are controlled by ganon. Hit them once with an arrow, and then just run up and spam the master sword till they die. If you get close enough to them before they target you, you can even get away with no arrows and just using the master sword.

Don't sell Luminous Stones: In Zora's Domain there is a zora named Ledo that will Trade you a Diamond for 10 Luminous stones... Luminous stones are used to get the Radiant armour in Gerudo town

Diamonds are useful for more than just weapon repair. There are plenty of opportunities in the game to sell gems. 200 rupees in this game is nothing. Youll have tens of thousands after enough play. Personally before I could afford ancient armor I got a diamond headband to protect me from guardian damage. Upgrading it costs diamonds but it afforded me a 18 defense triple upgraded diamond circlet(headband) that turned out to be the strongest armor piece I had for the whole first half to two-thirds of the game.

In hyrule castle, the stationary guardians on the wall things are just upside down flying guardians. You can also get better drops from them, there are also a lot of flying guardians in hyrule castle.

You can paraglide onto a walking or stationery guardian and land on its head it can't shoot you then you can hop down users spinning attack with a two handed sword around the guardian(you will need a little extra stamina) to chop off its legs and then release and you'll hit the ground hard and the shockwaves may kill it depending on how much you damaged it up top. If not just finish it off and collect the loot ,the legs drop stuff too so pick that up as well. Hope this is useful.

The maze in the Akkala sea also has some guardians. Especially in the basement after you do the shrine there. Lots of dead ones in there to loot. Just be careful as when you loot the chest, 4 come to life and lock on to you from different angles.

On guardians that still have their legs you can destroy the legs for extra guardian parts also in hyrule castle their are these tower and on top there is a chest some times can hold 3 anchient arrow there are multiple of these towers in hyrule castle but they do not respawn with a blood moon

With lynel bows you still need vertical aim and that's where most of the missed long range shots happen. But I haven't tried to look if the three arrows can one-shot stalkers on the body or have a split effect so the good thing about that bow may be there.

one thing I would like to mention is that behind the akkala lab there are a LOT of dead guardians. also stasis the mobile ones once you get close and then destroy their legs.

If you go to the top right of the map to the Lomi Labyrinth Island you can get a Diamond Circlet, it's by the Tu Ka'loh shrine. You find it by jumping into the square hole where the wind is coming up from. It looks cooler than the Ancient Helm (in my opinion) and if you pair it with the Ancient Cuirass and Ancient Greaves you will still get the set bonus which is even better guardian resistance.

with that swirly shring where you carry the ball through, its quite a bit more simple than it sounds, the water is pretty shallow with that freeze and stasis it really does save alot of heat ache,

grab a pot lid from a stable, find guardians, wait wen their eye light up, parry their laser, lasted me through 3-4 guardians.

in my experience it depends on where you are in the game and what you have unlocked. shields auto reflect are amazing and i would use those over the bows since you can use any bow. the guardians are super easy once you have the master sword but thats much later in the game. defeating the yiga clan is really sweet since they attack more often and drop duality bows.

if you do certain shrines, you can get cores and maybe giant ones too. my brother got 4 cores from shrines and 1 giant core from one too.

to get more loot from the walking guardians you can get their legs with a weapon. I usually stun them with an arrow, go for a leg, then repeat that until all the legs are gone. breaking the legs gives you more loot. second, i use the rock method with the shekiah sensor + and I also use the sensor to detect endura carrots. if you cook 5 you get a dish that sells for 420 rupees and they are really common in the region that glows like an alien on a mountian

They only restock if you have less than 50 of a type of arrow. It's worth noting that after you have less than 50 of the arrow, all shops will restock said arrow.

When carrying the blue flame you don't have to fight tons of monsters like you said. All you have to do is walk around them, this way it's way faster and your torch never goes out. I would recommend lighting the lamps though in case your torch does go out or it starts to rain.

Good tip for the moving ones freeze them with the time free ability than line up a bow shot to the eye, making it impossible to miss a eye shot (head shot)

you can unlock the Akkala tower pretty much right after you get the glider. I unlocked it yesterday and I've only done the main quest up to where you're sent to visit this tech lab guy. You just can't get hit by anything. Some creative climbing and bombing the bokoblins down into the pink goo let me get to a position that I could jump from a crumbling wall onto the tower.

Yes, the only things that never break are the master sword (but it runs out of power) and the bow of light (which can only be used in final boss fight). The hylian shield has extremely high durability but still breaks.

2-3 giant ancient cores are in the shrines where you get the master blade in the Korok forest. And there’s a shrine heading up to the watchtower near Korok forest that has one as well

Yep I'm a little late on BOWT but the best way to get the sphere over the curling land pain instead of carrying I used statis and whacked it over, it actually landed in the spot, used the hammer, only killed the monsters for parts for Kilton.

Can someone help me with upgrading ancient armor using star fragments? I read you can upgrade with a ferry with three star fragment and five cores but I can’t get past 18 level upgrade for the complete suit. Am I supposed to do something with the stars?
