Arielle Bok (i'm checking my own breath sounds with a stethoscope from amazon) can you give me a simple description of how bronchial sounds different from regular? I can't really hear it, and I think I may have bronchial

Ugly Jerk check the sounds of ur trachea and compare it with the bronchial sounds u hear on ur lung.. If theu are similar u are right it's bronchial. if they aren't so it's not bronchial sounds

just so people don't get confused bronchovesicular breath sounds are equal in duration NOT bronchial breath sounds.... in bronchial breath sounds, expiration is greater than inspiration

No, in bronchial breathing inspiration and expiration is of same duration

Correction, according to Gary persing's Respiratory care exam review, in bronchial breath sound, expiration is longer than inspiration. And that the equal duration of inspiration and expiration is that of a bronchovesicular breathsound. :)

I have COPD and asthma. It's easy to hear myself wheezing I'm having exacerbations, even without a stethoscope. I can even feel the crackles if I'm sick enough with bronchitis or pneumonia. I've listened to my lungs with a stethoscope, and yep, sounds just like that.
@faridaakbarli
@faridaakbarli 4 года назад
I also feel crackles in my lungs when I inhale. Also my one side of nose gets clogged all the time for 2 months. Cant wait to see the doctor but is this a sign for asthma?
@PhantomQueenOne
@PhantomQueenOne 4 года назад
@@faridaakbarli Asthma makes it hard for you you to breathe as your lungs feel 'tight' and produces mucus when you cough. You make a whistling sound as you breathe. Lung 'crackles' are indicative of something else. They can occur from bronchitis and other lung disorders and infections. The stuffed up nose is not from asthma, more than likely allergies or sinus infections. A trip to the doctor is a very good idea.
