I've fed raw diet for a few years now. This video explains it well. Good job! The only thing I would add is adjusting the bone size for the breed size and to watch how your dog is eating to determine adjustments. For example, a little dog would likely have troubles chewing through a beef rib and could potentially break it's teeth, but they could handle chicken wings easily. I know some medium and large breed dogs that would love to inhale the whole chicken wing, so they need chicken quarters or something larger to make sure they actually gnaw on it and chew up the bones. It really depends on the dog as an individual, because I know other large breed dogs who are careful, delicate eaters and good chewers. Lastly, if people decide to add the veggies, it's best to blend them up to increase digestibility. Excellent video. I enjoyed watching it. I also really enjoyed how you interacted with your dog throughout it.

I'm adopting a rescue German Shepherd soon and if that diet can make her look half as healthy as Saber does, I'll be happy lol. Hi, I followed your journey from the start when you went to get Saber and what can I say, nothing lights up my day and I dont enjoy almost anything like watching your videos wth Saber there. He is absolutely a beautiful creature, cheerfull, happy with the amazing energy which is obviously a sign of a lot of love and attention. I can see how happy he makes you, how he obeys your commands and how you are making him a happy dog. I personally don't have a dog but once I get a bigger flat I will get a GS. They are so smart and If you give them all your love, time and attention they grow to be your best friend in the world loving you more than themselves. Thank you for your videos and one small thing, I would love it better if you rescued him better than bought him from breeder but either way you are giving him a loving life as every dog should have and I remember you sad that before you got him you did not do much or go out so I can se how much he influenced you :). when i get my first job after or toward the end of highschool im planning on switching my dog to a raw diet. my mom and dad cant afford it but when i get my job that'll definitely be my main priority would be making sure my dog is healthy cause she is my four legged child. XD

my dogs have all been on kibble their whole lives and i am wanting to change them onto a raw diet. one has had a food allergy to wheat and grains etc so we changed him to non grain food and he was fine for about a year and now it has come back. poor boy is so miserable when this flares up as he gets so itchy and gets very scabby raw. so i have made the decision to change them all to raw to see if his allergies get any better. this video is great for info on what to feed them and the percentages and has made me understand raw feeding so much more. however, when i am changing them over i obviously cant just up and change their diet. how slowly should i 'wean' them off of kibble and onto raw would you reckon to not upset their systems? thank you for the great video!

Im not actually sure if i am feeding my puppy the right amount at 10 weeks old he is 11.5kg. When he stands up he looks slim but at certain angles when hes lying down he looks kinda fat. The app says he has to eat 736g of lean meat 92g bone 92g offal isn't that alot!? Just don't want to end up over feeding him!!

Thank you for feeding your dog raw. That food you're feeding looks very expensive. I can't imagine what you pay to have all that shipped to you, frozen no less. It's not necessary for people to buy from a middle man. These manufacturers take what you can buy cheaply at the store, trim no fat from it, grind it all up and sell it to you at a mark up. These foods appeal to people because they have been brainwashed to think that canine nutrition is so mysterious and complicated that they can't figure it out on their own. funfact: dogs actually like the egg yolk a lot more than the egg white, they consider the egg white just about as slimy and disgusting raw as we do.

hi, regarding the bones - the problem is not that "their stomach is built for it" or not, the danger is that pieces of the bones could get trapped in predisposed locations of the oral cavity, or in the esophagus, and the potential damage at the worst cases is very severe. you should consider this against the benefits. i'm not telling you what to do, but the way you are talking about it shows a bit superficial understanding. i'm not a vet yet, but i'll soon be, and i guess most vets will encourage you to not feed the hollow bones. the other types youve mentioned are probably fine.

ummm I feed my gsd fresh raw chicken leg quarters from grocery store mon-fri. fast on Saturday. and dry kibble on Sunday. healthy as can be 2 years old.

I think you are spending a ton of money and effort to feed a mediocre, seemingly skittish and unreliable dog. I don't think that dog will defend your house during break ins or whatnot. Looking at your dog he's all looks but seems coward.
