really great. i read some excellent stories with photos about 517 vs 527, but nothing like comparing them on the same person with the same size on. great format and super helpful to someone like myself who only wears levis. while the differences between 517 and 527 sounded minimal and did not really show themselves in still photos, your video made these minimal differences and how they fit, extremely clear and very distinct from each other. just for reference i'm a longtime 527 and Western boots guy and the 517 did look very high waisted even tho there was only 1/2" difference. how else could one tell this except by seeing something like what you'e done. thanks!

The comments related to the fit in the downstairs area are a great addition on each video. I think that it needs a lot of commitment to use raw denim jeans on regular basis and break them in because it is torture in the beginning. I can relate a lot with your statements on that area, excellent audio quality and transitions. You'll get big fast. Good luck.

Amazing job. Was very helpful. I love the 501's the most as they have a very manly feel to them. Also, they make you look taller and they relate to simpler times.
Great review and nice job on offering comparisons. I would say you could go up 1 inch on the 501s and have a bit more room. I tend to go 32 for a more fitted but in summer I wore 33 and 34 to have more room
569 and the 501 look the best on your legs and body shape imo. Those other ones are just too tight around your seat area, they look awkward and they cave in around your knees due to your leg shape. The slimmer cuts make you look like you have knock knees

*The Levi's website is not as clear about models.* It only shows 501 Original on the menu. To get 501 STF, one has to search for shrink-to-fit to see that particular model. One also has to play with the sizes to get certain colors. It's like the company doesn't have all sizes/models/colors of its product in stock.

Theses comparisons are helpful, but it would be better if you got a few guys with different body types to participate (skinny, overweight, dad bod, buffed, etc.).
My 517's are way to baggy in the thigh area. I got 32x30 expecting to look like yours. Maybe it's cause i haven't washed them yet? They look like relax fit jeans instead of Bootcuts 😭.

i can confirm levis has a problem with the quality control. i have 4 501 jeans and all different. one is short but wide, another one is tight and short and the last 2 are mostly similar to each other. but still 501 is my favorite jeans.

Thank you, but I might have miscommunicated: I love the fit of the 527. It's like THEY ARE MADE FOR MY BODY. Problem: I need something that fits just like them in a NON-BOOT CUT, such as to where with sneakers/topsiders.
If you plan to not wash them then go TTS. If you plan to shrink them in the bathtub then go TTS on the waist and two sizes up in length. If you plan to machine wash and dry then go up 1 waist size and 3 sizes for the inseam.

These ones are flex fit which is pretty intersting..... as the cut is not the same but they are pretty comfy. And yes ...one can never go wrong with gold. Lol
