Hello everyone!
Today, i will show you some loadouts, weapons, accessories, armor to help you for your next melee playthrough for Calamity 2.0.3.006, which is the last version of the Calamity mod!
This is maybe one of my biggest project yet so a sub to the channel will be very cool!

you can use the old lord claymore pre boss, cause it can carry u up to slime god, and it kills slime god easily

Hey, I just want to let everyone know, Yharim's Insignia was just reworked today into Ascendant Insignia, Which no longer gives ANY melee buffs and instead now gives a: 30% increased flight time, 10% increase to movement and jump speed, and multiplies movement acceleration by 1.1x. Ascendant Insignia also has the ability to give you infinite flight time for 4 seconds with a cooldown of 40 seconds. I just saw calamity update and saw these changes and decided to let some of yall know because idk if this accessory is the best for melee anymore. Anyways, have a great day and play some Terraria!

@bromex_ Thanks, if you do want to do it someday, though, I'd recommend having plenty of patience. It sounds difficult, it is difficult, and nobody is going to beat it in just a couple hours. Also, by "Legendary" I meant For The Worthy.

Also, i like how you changed the shield count from just text to a picture, looks cleaner. Personally I used mostly the zenith to beat scal, the damage isn’t too high but the range makes up for it, also will use it for exo mechs fight.

BTW, you can use the right click on Exo Blade which will make you dash to an enemy and cause greats amount of damage, you can also left click right after the dash to do even more damage, sadly brome didn't include that in the video.

what a tutorial man.. bro even gave true melee options when I already finished my playtrough of true melee 😭 also, asgard's valor is obtainable just post-plantera, and it's just better than the evasion scarf. you also can get ornate shield on pre-third mech boss which on my opinion is better for dodging, that's why you get dash accesories firstly.

to do skeltron you can make skyline wings wich are super useful instead of bundle of baloons, and you can already make the Terraspark boots. With the unlock of reforge you can easily keep the Bladecrest Oathsword who is a prett good weapon and the first homing projectiles type.

Eheh, il just get calamity overhaul, and find murasama there :) Still, a very useful guide for me as a calamity beginner, i need to know what the armor is, or what accessories i need, very useful for me as a melee main! I will try to learn the other classes here on brome's channel, very good guide. Actually the best youtuber that i know for guide in terraria and calamity, il also try thorium soon. Keep on making guides like this! I also keep on going back to this video, everyday for my calamity progression. With this guide i can also, teach my brothers with this!

If you're doing Destroyer, I highly recommend the avalanche with the cryo stone and frost flare, obsidian shield/bloody worm scarf/amalgamated brain and terraspark boots. Just stand near the boss and if things get dicey, use a ranged sword like the darklight greatsword. The avalanche shreds it so quickly

on the pre last mech stage i would highly recommend darklight greatsword instead of sulphuric grabber. Good damage, range and speed, pretty perfect for skeletron prime or twins

underrated weapon is Death's Ascension available after Polterghast, is a crazy melee weapon having homing sickles and a true melee option (the sickles are better). One of the best parts is how easy it is to make. You need a death sickle, from the solar eclipse, which if your a melee build you probably already have this. Then you need the souls of night, and then you need twisting nether, dropped from signus and finally you need ruinous soul from Polterghast. If you look at this build I seriously recommend this weapon.

for pre Scal, i would like to advice you to use Nadir because the damage it deals is 27k-32k consistently and with homing projectile

id recommend tainted blade and its upgrades through prov, it isnt part of exo blade or anything they are just really good and relatively cheap.

just a tip guys if once you get the broken biome edge you can beat almost all pre-hardmode bosses in seconds if you are using the arid grandeur attunement edit: i have also learned that the avalanche decimates both the aquatic scourge and your framerate

Fun fact, The best armor for pre boss is molten armor since you can go to the ocean and fish for the reaver shark which is as good as molten pickaxe and allows you to get molten armor super early.

pre-perforator accessories like bundle of balloons should be placed on pre-skeletron. After all killing the perforator unlocks the aeralite ores. Which is used to craft the bundle of ballons.

Okay this seems like a really good guide! I do have one question. How does one craft fairy wings pre-mech if they can’t craft a myth til anvil until after beating a mech? Also, a good addition to the weapons pre-first mech would be the dark master! A solid 700 dps with no accessories (estimated, it’s around 1000 with very few damage buffing accessories for me) and it has a lot of projectiles, making it easier to hit enemies!

Hey dude don't know if you still need it but recently I've beaten DoG (my first playthrough) and I've tried EVERY melee weapon on that stage. The weapon that helps me beat dog is Galileo Gladius it SHREDS

Use Geltic Blade for WoF. Easy to acquire, large attack range. Tested on master. Before that use the sword that drops from demons.

post mechs i would trade out the evasion scarf for the ornate shield. It has a better dash, and it turns into the asgard's valor later. Also, asgard's valor is post calamitas clone/plantera so you dont have to wait for post moonlord
