Correction: You only need 160% Break effect, as her trace Inert Respiration gives 20% Break Effect to all allies (even Ruan Mei herself), so she will reach 180% in combat; you wont see 180% in her stats out of combat, but the buff is on
@@Rizu18. Don't forget the light cone, even S1 Memories of the Past gives 28% BE, so relics wise you only need 102%... It's quite easy to reach, I got there without farming any relic and using only the bad relics I have. The number that you can find in her stats is her base+traces+relics BE value, and it needs to get to 160% to maximise the skill multiplier because it doesn't count the passive +20% that Inert Respiration gives.
You can even put them in same team, like JL Bronya RM Sustain. I've tested that team, and the damage output is higher than with Bronya + Pela. So yea, I guess Bronya RM is the new strongest hypercarry setup for JL
@@ymw1107 yeah, switching Pela with RM is just a slight upgrade, Pela is still more than enough. But if you really want to use the current strongest hypercarry setup for JL, then goes for Bronya RM, even if it's just a small upgrade. Besides that, RM can also be used in other teams
Ruan Mei is slightly better for generic damage support and her light cone has good SP generation. Bronya is still top tier imo and it’s good to have both. Nevertheless, in most cases the limited characters are better than the standard characters of the same path and Ruan Mei is no exception
Yeah I have Jingliu, and quite a good build not the best, really happy got Ruan Mei even though hard pity at almost 80 pulls, but hey at least I'm winning the 50/50. Sadly no Bronya yet, probably gonna take her as soon as my Free 5* Standard when meet the agreement.

I've been waiting since 1.3 for her :D i managed to win the 50/50 and got her to 148 spd, 189% BE with S5 Memorie + Penacony set (er rope). After i got Ruan Mei i did a 10 pull on standard banner for fun and got E1 Bronya at 7 pity😭
I lost to bronya but it's still a win since I have been wanting her, now I can choose Clara on standard. Have to grind a little bit more for Ruan Mei, thank god there's so many events.
Broken Keel is not enough to guarantee 3T rotation. Also, you only need 160% BE before buffs. 153 Speed is also unnecessary - she is not the best at SP generation, so you really only need her to be slightly faster than the DPS with this build if you don't care about marginal increase in Ultimate uptime, or 120 Speed with Vonwacq, or 161+ Speed with Vonwacq.
info: the 2 piece planornament breakeffect set applies the second buff behind spd requirment only in battle, so add 20% on top! need help which go for: 4 piece thieve with cdmg body (30 breakeffect on it) 3,1hp 1,1k def aswell 170 breakeffect +20% her talent, 141 speed and vonwac with err rope and ice orb, so 40/130crit ratio with ice orb and maximum energy regen but sounds like it doesnt affect dmg at all sadly thats why i build now this below! 4 piece hackerspace set with hp body: 4,1khp 1,5k def aswell 160speed and 130 breakeffect (not fully build, could increase 10 to 20%) +20% her talent + 20% from the planonament break effect with def orb and err rope, so less energy regen build but way faster overall and more tanky and pretty close same breakeffect stats.

Yeah, the only hypercarry bronya is not that good is DHIL and QQ because they eat a lot of SP, with some difficulty u can use bronya with them but is not worth it at all, that's why Sparkle is gonna be the best harmony for them. But Ruan mei does a good job with hungry SP dps like them, it's just that she is a bit more universal, but kinda boring at the same time. Bronya is very good if used in the right way with the right speed, but I just think both her and Ruan Mei have their own speciality

Well, this is a limited 5-star, so i do expect it to be better than a standard one… but we are having another limited 5-star support in next batch (and is quantum…) so still hard to decide😅
if you're talking about sparkle then i think it's a pretty easy call. Sparkle is good for mono-quantum teams and ruan mei is really good because her buffs are universal and go well with any type of dps except Clara. Sparkle is niche but crazy at her own niche and ruan is universal.
I had the Returner's luck.. Recently came back because of the free 5 star were getting later and saved enough to pity 90.. i ended up pulling her first 10 pull with a gepard on top in the SAME pull then pulled her light cone in a single 10 pull as well.. I am beyond in shock still cause when I started my luck was so dogwater I only had welt has my 5 star.
got SW and pulled for Hanya eidolons and got her E1 at 30 pity. I thought I was fucked because I didn't have enough for a guaranteed, barely enough for 70 pulls but she blessed me at 30 pity and I got her. Thinking about her lightcone because I don't have anyone I particularly want right now except Fu Xuan and her lightcone. God, I love mentally unstable women.
I was wanting Xueyi since I saw her first in 1.2 or something like that. Ruan Mei seems a pretty good character for her team, as it literally increases break efficiency, Wich is one of my favorite things in the game, break effect.
Footage is from a different build of the game, check the traces screen, they have an impossible amount of the boss material. So they are probably hiding something because of a nda.
I definently think she's better than Bronya. I have both, and I always ran Bronya, but now with Ruan my team just overall hits harder and type weakness doesn't matter near as much. Plus she buffs your whole team as opposed to one. My team is Jinglui, Fu Xuan, Argenti, and Ruan. She pairs great with Argenti too and his constant AOE output
I would also go with Broken keel but not all situations. Because I'm doing a Ruan mei dot team (Kafka, BSwan) then crit damage does really nothing but yeah it's a great one otherwise

Ruan Mei was the second banner character I seriously pulled for. The first one was SW and I got her on the 50/50. I lost my 50/50 on Ruan Mei & got Bailu instead, but pulled enough to get her after, since isn't it guaranteed on the next 5-star if the previous 50/50 was a lose?
I have a question I started playing HSR again since a 2 weeks after i did a break. my break was before Inhibitor Dan heng (Sorry for not writing his name right) So i didnt got chars like Fu Xuan, Houhou, Jingliu etc. I comeback because i wanted to be real activ and dont want to leave the game after some months But to my question. I have characters like Kafka, Silver wolf, Himeko and many 4 stars. my question is since i want to build a Kafka team comb, Should i pull for Ruan Mei or should i better skip her and safe for Black swan?
Do you play Because? Because Ruan mei is like the Kazuha of star rail. So you should absolutely go for her. (She is great in dot teams because the enemy gets hit by dot twice)
guys am i tripping balls or does the traces provide 37.3 instead of the mentioned 32% by him? and also the Inert Respiration ability states that it increases 20% break effect for all allies but I dont see the +20% in the stats of my Ruan Mei. I just got Bronya on Standard Banner Yesterday and I have her LC. I wonder if I should pull for Ruan Mei or just level up my Bronya? And I'm planning to go for E1 Bronya at 300 pull selection. So which will be more better E1 with LC Bronya or Ruan Mei?
If you have blade and jingliu, or topaz and Jingyuan, or if you have a hypercarry like Imbibitor Lunae, then you should probably pull Ruan Mei, cuz she is great since she is SP positive so she works well with DHIL and QQ, and she is also great with duo DPS comps, since her buffs are for the whole team so she is viable for duo dps because both of them will be breaking the enemy 50% faster than normally. But you should analyze your account situation, for example if you don't have the LC "Memories of the Past" you will probably have difficulty getting her ult in 3 turns and reaching 180% break effect on her.
@@Gheniel_ thank you for the advice. I do have the LC “Memories of the Past" and I have Topaz as well. Since I have Topaz I was planning on pulling for Blade but I got Clara in my 50-50 so I'm thinking which to pull in my guaranteed. I can see that Ruan Mei is good but idk if I should pull her.
@@Marvsss. Well, if you have Silverwolf you can put her in a team with Topaz and Dr.Ratio and they will do well. So maybe Ruan Mei is just not needed enough for you account, It also depends a lot on the investment you have in your account, if you have relic and LC sets that are good for her in your inventory then it wouldn't be a bad idea to pull her unless you have plans to get another character

No. She doesn't help at all. You better focus on building a defensive team. I tried the following and lost around 10 times: Argenti, Ruan, Tingyun, Fu Xuan Argenti, Ruan, Natasha, Fu Xuan Argenti, Ruan, Natasha, Fire Trailblazer Argenti, Blade, Natasha, Fire Trailblazer Finally won using Atk and Def food (Idk name, it was blue/3 stars one ig. Def one give Eff res) on: Argenti, Blade, Natasha, Fu Xuan
yes she does, but you still needs proper dps for her to do her magic, since she's... a support. I used Argenti, ruan (A0 btw), Hanya and Huohuo. Easy boss fight both story and mats in auto. Argenti is a must have when fighting this bug, straight fact. As if this stage was made for him.
As someone that doesn't have argenti. I can auto this... And was never complicated Using a simple Fire MC (I like using MC in games), jingliu, tingyun, and bailu or linx. I forgot which healer I was running at that time. First I did it on manual coz new content. Then auto. There's no "must haves".
@@serikazero128 Oh yeah, having a tank and a healer on the same team is good too, to take dmg from the bugs and spirit bombs, otherwise jingliu ain't gonna survive in 2nd phase (most of the time). Argenti just makes things much more easier in this fight even if your team builds are very limited, especially when you're a newbie since he can multi tasks in this fight.

If you have enough dps then go for eidelons. I’m not making the same mistake for genshin lol i got so many character but no constellations so once i have enough characters for MoC, I’m saving to e6 characters
