I just got the tiger 2H I'm new to the game how much ammunition should I carry 50 AP and 20 apcr I'm currently carrying a ton of four different types and I think that's my big problem can someone give me a percentage of how many shells of two different types I should be carrying😊
@@chan1william Same that's due to the 7.3/7.7tanks they stand a reasonable chance and support the kt2 well but just kt2 Vs 1960/70 mbts it's going to die

I hate to say, but I haven't played my Tiger II's in over a year. I should use them again because I do agree, they're excellent snipers, but when I was using them, I usually got short range, or city, maps. I'm not usually a brawler, so I tend to stay far back to snipe.
@@SuprisenameI'm tired of getting Alaska, Berlin, and all that while playing against Martian tripods while Tom Cruise is in the air. Friggin rounds bounce off anything that is not a light tank or car. Aaaand basically anything can shoot through your 50k tons of armour :(
I got one game away from beginning research on the tiger 105 and got off for the night, the update that removed it came out the following morning while I was at work… getting gaijined in real life just like in game
This was so good, the weeks definitely paid off. May I suggest that you try to do more of these with vehicles that are not as widely used or are more difficult to play? Just so people who find these kinds of vehicles still have somewhere to go if they find that they're struggling. Otherwise, keep it up g!
@@willdebeljak7062 Turm Porsche was designed by Porsche and the Turm Henschel was designed by Henschel Und Sohn, both turrets built by Krupp. Krupp was a multipurpose steel manufacturer and was tasked to construct parts or vehicles whole, they built a lot of things apart from just tanks too, because they were contracted to. Pretty sure during the Königstiger trials, Hitler wanted different designs from Porsche and Henschel & Sons and both were fitted but many often used the Henschel Turm for it’s better armour protection.
@@winstonchurchill1300 no porshe had nothing to do with turret design. Porshe and hensel were competing for hulls not for turrets. Krupp was the designer of both turrets. Krupp already built 50 turrets of p design so the German army used the first 50 king tiger with the P turrets.
Unlocked the (P) yesterday, already my favorite vehicle. Even in uptiers I'm most of the time able to get at least 3 kills before dying, it has great reverse speed and Turret traverse, so it's just very fun to play
Maybe its a skill issue but I struggle so hard with the Tiger 2 because 80% of the times I get full up tiers and I fight other mbt's from the US and the soviets as example and I struggle so hard to pen them anywhere at all while they easily kill me.
Out of all the tanks removed for that reason panther 2 Maus etc I’d say the KT 10.5 was the most reasonable. As irl the gun straight up just couldn’t fit in the tank. Legit would have been impossible to mount with out significant modification to the turret. I’d still love to see her in game tho
I love how different the roles and suited playstyles are from the tigerH/E to the Tiger II P its a very refreshing feeling to have better utility as a medium to long range monster to fear lol

I strongly disagree that the T34 outclasses it. I think the king tiger has a superior armor profile (the T34 ufp can be penetrated by the Russian 122mm for example while the king tiger is only vulnerable in the turret) with a better gun. It penetrates less raw thickness but in my experience the explosive mass makes up for it.
The T 34 is significantly worse than the Tiger 2 sure stronger turret but far less useful gun, long reload, and an IS 2 can punch through the upper hull. The T 34 is more mobile but the 120 is a pancake launcher doing literally no damage. Until Gaijin learns how solid shot actually works I would always take an 88 or American 105 T29 variant to the 120
Don't worry u are not missing out, except if u like being slapped around by 90% of the things u get 99% of the time uptiered with. The normal Tiger 2 struggles with being uptiered against post war stuff but the 10.5 Tiger almost always gets to fight tanks that you usually can't pen from the front and they can pretty much pen you with even their cheap ammo, nevermind heat and ATGMs... Quite a few years back the Kugelblitz, Panther 2, Tiger 2 10.5 and Maus was my favorite high tier lineup, sure u got the occasional is3 or is4 that bounces everything but it was fun and u felt like u are in a true heavy, but then the is10 was released and it had ammo that would pen you almost everywhere, than the IT1 came with the ATGM spam, after that all the above were obsolete, the huge amount of modern tanks in the BR u get matched since then just sealed the deal. Now i take them for a ride once a year, just to show that they exist...and get nuked by APFSDS 2min after leaving the spawn, no regrets and atleast i got a bit of satisfaction because the is10 and it1 became obsolete themselfes.

Pray they don't hit anything vital so you can shoot back, and don't pick fights with American T29/T34 tanks, they'll pen your turret even angled *don't pick fights with t29 etc frontally, from the side go wild.
This tank series is seriously OP at its battle rating. It literally sets the meta because it can frontally pen most everything and bounce most return fire. It gets uptiered all the time because it ran off all the other tanks at 6.7. Nobody wants to face this because it's broken. Seriously though, how are the IS-2 1944 and m26E5 supposed to be these things equal? One has weaker armor and 27 s reload and the other one cannot even pen the turret with aphe. Matchmaking will always suck for this until proper counters can be placed at 6.7 BR.
IS2 44 is a great tank, honestly would rather play it then any of the KTs, it can pen pretty much everything and it’s shell is big enough to one shot almost every time. Personally I’ve won more fights against the KT then I’ve lost in the IS2 44. The only time I kinda have that o shit feeling is when I’m point blank cuz it has a super long reload. In fact I’d say the tiger 1 E and panthers at there br are better then the KT. When I play the IS2 44 I’m actually more scared or Pershings then KTs
@@seductive_fishstick8961 question: why exactly are you more scared of pershings? They have a worse gun, less armor, and are slower than KT? Their only advantage is lower profile and .50 cal.
The Italian 75 Sherman and 90mm Sherman Jackson hybrid can frontally pen these things. In fact their APDs round is so op I have been able to ammo rack angled panthers through the upper front plate, since the shell just flies straight through the tank
i hate it when people call the tiger 2's fast. they aren't. they arent even fast for a heavy tank, unless you are counting the super heavies like the maus, doom turtle, and tortoise. the jumbo, also a heavy tank technically, can run circles around the P, and most russian heavies are on par with the tigers. meanwhile almost all mediums and DEFINITLY all light tanks outpace the tigers by a LOT. and they dont exactly struggle to kill them. i think this misconception boils down to people looking at the stat cards for the tiger 2's and going "wow thats a decent top speed" without realizing none of those are getting within a third of that speed without a long downhill stretch. while all the other heavies are geared to accelerate to their (lower on paper) top speeds and stay there, the tigers struggle for breath outside of their power band and can BARELY creep it up to 18mph on a good day
@@Petem7668 it goes faster than 18 mph. on flat. and on roads. easily? hardly, maybe with an absolutely maxed out crew it can get there in twice the time it would take a jumbo to do the same. but how many maps are flat with roads? cargo port yeah. which others? additionally, you might be confusing units here. in the video he was using KPH not MPH. he was easily breaking 18 kp/h, which is 11 mp/h. 18 mp/h is 29 kp/h. i stated mp/h because theres an option to change the units in war thunder, and my american brain understands mp/h better, so thats what i use in game.
@@foxboy64 That is fast for a heavy tank though especially taking into consideration its weight being 68-70 tons. In its battle rating most heavy tanks are either slightly slower or even with it, but with the sla variant you are much faster compared to other heavies. Especially off road which is most maps in war thunder.
@@evanbannwart1041 the IS series is faster. like from the 1 to the 6. the super pershing is on par with it speed wise. the american t34 runs laps around it? idk where you're getting the idea other heavy tanks are slower than tiger 2's. i have done lap time testing both on cargo port (flat road) and karelia (off road and terrain) and every heavy tank in its br range from full uptier to full downtier is faster than the tech tree tigers on BOTH maps if you are counting the doom turtle and tortoise, those are tank destroyers, not heavy tanks
@@foxboy64 The IS series is faster by like 6 km per hour. The t34 doesn’t run laps around a aced Tiger 2 only a stock one. Once it’s upgraded it’s on par with normal variants and slower than SLA. Off road the Tigers are slower but than again anyone who loves playing the tigers has the SLA which fixes its off-road capability making it equal with t34 and slightly slower than the IS series. Plus the IS speed is practically useless if it can’t even get close to tiger 2 before it gets shot due to the accuracy. That of course depends on player skill which is a liability with most German players but on a field I’ve never had an IS get within I’d say 450-500 meters of me. But all nonetheless for a tank weighing in at 68-70 tons it is fast.
I have a video of Tiger 2 P brawling on my channel. That's not a self advertising, i mean that you can watch the video and learn something as i was fighting against E.B.R and M36 at the same time (+ other single tanks)
Not having experimental tanks in War Thunder? That's a pretty sad excuse when you have other nations with vehicles they never had. It sounds like they just want German players to not have cool things like a Tiger 2 with a 105mm gun. If they want realism then half the Russian line from the 30's and 40's should have fucked up sights and armor that breaks from a hammer blow as well as some of the shittiest welding and fitting jobs a metal worker has ever seen. I'm just mad I don't have a 10.5 tho

@@captainmavic6310 I am aware of that, sometimes I’m being good and sometimes I just can’t fight on distance in a T-34-87 against a Tiger/Panther D and the Tank destroyers. So yeah it depends on me and I’m a very much a regular player and not a sweat
