Al Davis copied the 1960 original Los Angeles Chargers shield logo when Al Davis left the Los Angeles Chargers coaching staff in 1962 to become the Oakland Raiders manager in 1963 he then added the original Los Angeles Chargers shield logo to the Oakland Raiders pirate logo on 1963 Coincidentally The Oakland Raiders pirate logo didn’t have the shield logo originally birth year of 1960-1962 until Al Davis joined the Raiders on 1963 then coincidentally added the shield to the pirate logo. Da Da Da Da Charge! ⚡️🐴 🏈 The Chargers r the true original L.A. born team playing for the original birthplace and not too many teams can claim that fact! The Rams were born in Cleveland. The Raiders were born in Oakland. and that’s a fact those other teams can’t ever claim. And also the Chargers r also the true Southern California team they have never left Southern California unlike the Rams born in Cleveland and played in St.Loius and the Raiders born in Oakland and play in Las Vegas Nevada.
@@skunkdog6019 you know, as much as we hear "Rams and Chargers will never be LA's team and don't have fans." I'm a Chargers fan, but pulling for the Rams too. I wouldnlove to see them play each other in SB LVI at SOFI this season. Two great teams. I wanna try to see the Rams there this season too if I can.
@@progressivelibertarianview8832 well actually they both started playing at staples center at the exact same time starting from its opening but the lakers were already LAs team they just moved out of the forum to be at the center of downtown
@@foxsdream They do. Read about it. Yes, Stan Kroenke financed a large portion of the stadium. And he also owns the Rams. But his ownership of the Rams and the company that runs the stadium are two different entities. Chargers also have a minority stake in said company and are partially paying for it as well. Both teams pay $1 in rent to the company which oversees the stadium.
@@sramoore0075187 Yeah our front seven looking really good rn because of Joseph, I hope Murray can show why he was the best run stopping LB in the draft this Sunday. The Texans defense isn't as good as ours so we'll be a bigger challenge for Mahomes because he still has yet to get 280+ passing yards against us
Marcus Jones our secondary needs to be on point though. We can’t get beat over the top by tyreke hill and Sammy hopkins. Put some pressure on Mahommes and make sure there is a spy in the box.
There was a 20 yard-long bolt logo at midfield at Qualcomm Stadium during the 2005 season. Helmet logos and the Chargers shield since then. 15 years is too long.
@@2005RU-vidUser not me. I loved the helmet. Remember when they put 37 on the helmet after Harrison was suspended for crushing Jerry Rice? SD's little subtle 🖕to the league. They should've put Juniors 55 on it when he passed.
@@K_Racing00 you been jacked HOMIE ! (deebo style) my house PUNK ! CHARGERS HOUSE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! @@czee2035 I love the Link too. Been there a few times. Only place with a "convention center" (Touchdown City) attached to it. That place is fun and LOUD!!!!
I'm guessing the mid field logo and end zones are interchangeable since this is a 2 team home. Why not just put the NFL logo in the middle like Metlife Stadium did?
The chargers really need their own stadium back in san Diego. And this stadium thou very nice i like the raider stadium in vegas better and i expect allegiant stadium to host much better events. Just bassed off its location
The Chargers name and logo was created and originated in Los Angeles with a USC L.A.Memorial Coliseum historical connection and Tommy Walker aka”Tommy Trojan”and then owner Barron Hilton. The Chargers name originated from the USC football games and Tommy Walker aka (Tommy Trojan) famous historical Charge chant he created “Da Dah Dah Da“ Charge! “Da Dah Dah Da Trojans Warriors Charge! Tommy Walker then musician /team kicker helped inspire then owner Barron Hilton “R.I.P.” to name the Chargers football team from the famous Charge chant he created as a USC musician band member /team kicker. When Barron Hilton attended the USC football games the previous years as a football fan at the L.A.Coliseum he would hear the Tommy Walker Charge chant. When Tommy Walker would run out to the football field to attempt the extra point kicks as the team kicker the USC team music band would play Tommy’s Charge chant he created as the team musician and the football fans that attended the games would yell out his Charge chant “Da Dah Dah Dah Da” Charge! “Da Dah Dah Da “Trojan Warriors Charge! to motivate him to score the extra point kicks. So that’s where Barron Hilton got inspired and got the idea to name the Los Angeles Chargers football team. The proof is in the Chargers 1960 original shield logo with the horse charging into battle. The Charger is a horse charging into battle. very similar to the USC Trojan Warrior with shield and sword and horse mascot charging on to the field to battle. Hence the horse in the Chargers 1960 original shield logo. The lightning bolt idea came from Barron Hilton liking the Air Force College football team lightning bolt logo as a College football fan. Till this day that famous Charge chant is heard at the game’s and through out many other sporting game events. The Los Angeles Chargers r the true original L.A. born team now back playing in the original birthplace and not too many team’s can claim that fact. The same tweets and comments come rolling in like clockwork every time a picture, video or story is posted calling the Los Angeles Stadium at Hollywood Park the home of the Rams and Chargers. Variations of “it’s the home of the Rams; the Chargers are just renters” come flooding in from Rams fans and former Chargers fans in San Diego. Every team in the NFL, except for the Miami Dolphins, New England Patriots, Washington Redskins and Carolina Panthers, is technically a renter when it comes to its home stadium. While Kroenke controls Stadco LA LLC, the Chargers are more partners than tenants in the stadium. Each team is paying $200 million from their NFL G4 loan toward the stadium’s construction. Each team will keep its local revenue from the stadium, which includes money from tickets, parking, concessions and other game-day-related sponsorship and advertising deals. Each team will get an 18.75% cut from naming rights deals and jointly sold suites and personal seat licenses. And the stadium will have equal-sized home locker rooms for each of the teams.
Wait so are they going to get their own soon? I’m curious, do people generally support the Chargers or the Rams more here? Is San Diego too far for a worth while trip for their original fans?
This is going to be a tough game for us even though it is our home opener in our new field. Chiefs are allowed to have 17k fans but chargers are allowed to have none? More BS home advantage that screws the chargers for another year......cmon NFL. I think Jenkins did a great job as FS but Adderly and Desmond King gotta step it up as switching Strong Safetys for us. Also, use Nwosu more so that Ingram and him are never tired, they are equally talented I think. Isaac Rochell isn't so bad when taking Bosa's spot on the other side either, so use that depth we have in the front 7 and keep our guys looking fresh. I think by the end of the game last week we were a bit tired in that aspect. Definitely need more offense from Tyrod and better playcalling, use ekeler our offensive coordinator didn't set up any screens, or any kind of great passes out of the backfield for the 2nd best receiving back in the entire NFL. COME ON. Use our weapons well and we have a chance, and if you don't we will get blown out by 14 points or more. I would really love to see a win here, but that's a prayer with the way we played in week 1.
It must be awkward for the Rams, Chargers and Raiders franchises to move to a new city just to play in a mostly empty new stadium. By the way, as a Colts fan, thanks for your quarterback.
