The Mindphaser sounds digital because it's doing thru-0 PM, which is the real operation all those digital "FM" synths are doing. The other 3 are doing real FM, which is next to impossible to do digitally. Great video, as always!

IVE BEEN WAITING MY WHOLE LIFE FOR THIS COMPARISON Thank you for putting this together. I’m still pretty new to eurorack and I’ve been trying to decide on just one complex oscillator to add to my rack but I guess the best answer is all of them, in time 😆 I’ll probably get the mind phaser first and then the cs-l. I’m really impressed with the dpo and generator as well.

I love all of these too , I also love the radical frequencies DPVCO , and the L-Fusion Electronics Dual analogue triangle VCO are superb .

Thanks for this video! Its the Mindphaser for me. I really liked the sound. The Cs-L close second. Really good points on the Cs-L with sub and foot print. Now I have to think about it more. They are all cool in their own way. I could have fun with any of them really.

If you a spectrohone you can essentially have a dpi with much more in my opinion….. they are very similar….. the mind phaser is miles above the rest just my opinion…. They all have case uses

Hi. Very nice demo. I just wanna point one thing regarding your demoing the furtherrrr generator: you didn't touch the cross modulation on the modulator at all. This would have given a wider sound range.

It's official. Instruo has the ugliest front panels of all three.

I watched this and learned that Joey can make all oscillators sound equally terrible.

You are doing something wrong OR your dpo is broken? Because on Instruo, Furtherrrr, Mindphaser you produce true and complete wavefolder sweeps from sine to harsh which are beautifully show the capabilities. BUT on dpo you won’t produce such a sweep, only disturbing and chaotic noises. That makes me think the guy is broken, or you don’t do the exact same thing on the dpo, what you did at the other three guys.

Hahaha. So the best complex oscillator is all of them together, hahaha. I love it. I love this fucking channel.
