Exactly ❣️There’s still a mixture. We are sanctified (set apart) the same moment we were justified . We received Christ imputed righteousness the same moment as we were justified. The justified shall walk by faith.

Provided you meet the conditions for salvation. You can’t live your life according to one verse taken out of context. You must live by the totality of the scriptures. Not following Christ, and His teachings, is not following Christ.

Sounds good on the onset - but faith is Persuasion, predominantly in the NT, 180x according to BDAG, the most upvto date Greek Lexicon in modern times. Faith as fidelity in the NT is only used 6x. Salvation is a GIFT not a GIMMICK. Salvation is a Promise not Probation. @rebsince71

Anyone who feels that they need to pay something, That they cannot entirely accept the sacrifice of Jesus and need to make some sort of payment or sacrifice before they can accept atonement; Does not understand the Gospel. No one needs to try to be married to their spouse, they do not wake up in the morning and reaffirm that they are married. Why is it so hard for them to trust God? "I paid the price. Just. Trust. Me."

Jesus tells us to count the cost for our decision to follow him, saying, "to whom much is given much is required." And he warned, "he that heareth my words and doeth them not, is like a man who built his house upon the sand; and when the storm came, it beat upon it, and the house fell, and great was the fall thereof." The Lord's brother wrote: "We see then that a man is justified by works and not by faith only." (James 2:24) No where does Paul teach that we are saved without obedience to the Gospel, which means righteous living. The soul that continues in sin, says Paul, will die. (Gal 6:7)

The strawman argument is usually that you cannot earn your salvation, so typically when you ask or make a similar statement in order to narrow the argument then your foundation is wrong. Another one of these statements you'll hear "no one is perfect" or "salvation is a free gift", while they may sound biblical the full council of the Word says otherwise. The pastor speaking sets his own filter to which he believes the bible must be filtered by, that is justification and sanctification, he believes they are a separate work, which is further from the truth, because they are intertwin with one another. There are countless number of examples in the N.T that warn believers against persistent sin, especially sexual immorality. Believers are warned not to partake in such sins or theirs is not the Kingdom of Heaven. While a believer will still service sin in their life, the grace they encounter is meant to mature them out of worldly affairs that do nothing but feed the flesh. The blood that Jesus shed was an atonement for all, the just with the unjust. Jesus is the final sacrifice for all sin. The question is, what separates believers from the world? Is it just a belief in God, or does it move past head knowledge and enter through denying self, picking up crosses and following Christ, for which unless you do, you cannot become a disciple of his. Heb 3:12-14 Take care, BROTHERS, lest there be in any of you an evil, unbelieving heart, leading you to fall away from the living God. But exhort one another every day, as long as it is called “today,” that none of you may be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin. For we have come to share in Christ, if indeed we hold our original confidence firm to the end. 1 Cor 15:1 Now I would remind you, BROTHERS, of the gospel I preached to you, which you received, in which you stand, and by which you are being saved, if you hold fast to the word I preached to you-unless you believed in vain. Jesus states himself: If anyone does not remain in me, he is thrown aside like a branch and he Withers. They gathered them, throw them into the fire, and they are burned. If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you want, and it will be done for you. My father is glorified by this that you produce fruit and prove to be my disciples (notice the word “prove). John 15:6-8.
@Epic_Shotz
@Epic_Shotz Год назад
I don’t think he’s arguing against fruit. But that fruit in and of itself is not justification. It’s a refutation against regeneration preceding justification. He’s arguing that we are justified by believing that Jesus is who he says he is, that he died for our sins, and that we have hope that we will be with him when we die, reigning with him in the new heaven and earth. That is step 1. Step 2 is the fruit. I believe he’s claiming that calvinists switch them around. He’s not saying fruit is not part of it. At least not how I understand it.

Everyone lives in sin. If you sin every day, which we all do, then you’re guilty of living in sin. The type or amount of sin isn’t the issue. The bottom line is that if a person TRULY BELIEVES that Jesus paid for ALL of their sin, they will know that nothing they do in the future can cause them to lose their salvation. Because when you get saved you’re forgiven for ALL of your sins, past, present and future. You’re eternally secure.
@heymichaelc

@@HarpsDad22 Just like many Pastors and churches, your deceived. Just like many Pastors they have no inheritance in the kingdom of God, like yourself. You're pushing a false gospel. And like many others, you refuse to refute scriptures I provided before (I believe there were only two). As far as your statement "everyone sins" I would ask, does everyone repent? Of course not. Both Jesus and the apostle Paul warn believers of practicing (for example sexual immorality) and not repenting of like sins or they forfeit the Kingdom of God. Jesus was the final sacrifice for all the sins of the whole world. Does this mean all of our sins are forgiven, no, one aspect of the cross is that it opens access to the Father as individuals for the forgiveness of sin. You must take the full council of God’s Word not selected scriptures they you mainly here each Sunday from your false church. Such as, Hebrews 10:28-29 (insult the spirit of grace) …Anyone who has set aside the law of Moses dies without mercy on the evidence of two or three witnesses. How much worse punishment, do you think, will be deserved by the one who has trampled underfoot the Son of God, and has profaned the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified, and has outraged the Spirit of grace? Col 1:22 he has now reconciled in his body of flesh by his death, in order to present you holy and blameless and above reproach before him, Col 1:23 if indeed you continue in the faith, stable and steadfast, not shifting from the hope of the gospel that you heard, which has been proclaimed in all creation under heaven, and of which I, Paul, became a minister. Gal 5:16-21 (Paul writing to the church) …But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. For the desires of the flesh are against the Spirit, and the desires of the Spirit are against the flesh, for these are opposed to each other, to keep you from doing the things you want to do. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I WARNED YOU (believers), as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. 1Cor 6:9-10 (Paul writing to the church) Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? DO NOT BE DECEIVED: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. Eph 5 (Paul writing to the church) But AMONG YOU, as is proper among the saints, there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed. Nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk, or crude joking, which are out of character, but rather thanksgiving. For of this you can be sure: No immoral, impure, or greedy person (that is, an idolater), has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. If you believe God forgives all sin, then why does Jesus state you will not be forgiven unless you learn how to forgive? But I thought all my sins were forgiven, NOT. Christians will continue to service sin in their lives through repentance and maturing in the faith. But if you think you can verbally ask for forgiveness without turning from your sin, your deceived again. God's Word tells us to show works worthy of repentance. We were saved unto "good works" not bad, as Eph 2 states. Rom 2:6 He (God) will render to each one according to his works: Rom 2:7 to those who by patience in well-doing seek for glory and honor and immortality, he will give eternal life; Rom 2:8 but for those who are self-seeking and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, there will be wrath and fury. You stated, "when you get saved you’re forgiven for ALL of your sins, past, present and future. You’re eternally secure." No my friend your eternally deceived. No where in scripture does it say "past, present and future", you're making up your own gospel, like many pastors. Those who believe in eternal security will often use Col 2. Col 2:12 having been buried with him in baptism, in which you were also raised with him through faith in the powerful working of God, who raised him from the dead. Col 2:13 And you, who were dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made alive together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses, Col 2:14 by canceling the record of debt that stood against us with its legal demands. This he set aside, nailing it to the cross. The passage in Col 2:12 “trespasses” is past tense, not present, not future, so those sins when you came to Christ were passed over. This is God making you justified before Him. If you died soon afterwards (just as the thief on the cross) you are eternally saved. Rom 3:25 Those who boast in Col 2, soon forget, Col 1:22 he has now reconciled in his body of flesh by his death, in order to present you holy and blameless and above reproach before him, Col 1:23 if indeed you continue in the faith, stable and steadfast, not shifting from the hope of the gospel that you heard, which has been proclaimed in all creation under heaven, and of which I, Paul, became a minister. Acts 3:19 Repent therefore, and turn back, that your sins may be blotted out, Act 3:20 that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, and that he may send the Christ appointed for you, Jesus. Even though Christ died for all sin, even for the unbeliever, it does not mean all sin is forgiven, it only means Jesus paid the price for all sin, no more (Old Testament) sacrificing the blood of animals for the remission of sin, Jesus is the new covenant. It amazes me how deceived pastors will pass over scripture that the states the opposite of what they preach. Satan could care less about the unsaved, he already has them. He is after believers, especially those in ministry and is actively deceiving the church. Luk 6:46 “Why do you call me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and not do what I tell you? Luk 6:47 Everyone who comes to me and hears my words and does them, I will show you what he is like: Luk 6:48 he is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid the foundation on the rock. And when a flood arose, the stream broke against that house and could not shake it, because it had been well built. Luk 6:49 But the one who hears and does not do them is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation. When the stream broke against it, immediately it fell, and the ruin of that house was great.” Satan is constantly looking for a lie to ride in on the truth of God's Word. He is not some force masquerading around with a disfigured face of horns on his head. He is not dressed in black or red, (so all those who think you are promoting evil acting cool and wearing so-called demonic images are already deceived). He comes as a angel of light looking to deceive the church. Those who are already deceived he could care less about. His goal is to infuse false doctrines and lies inside the church. He must ride on the wings of truth for others to take the bait before he hooks you in the mouth and drags you off to an eternal damning of souls. He appearance is among the best, better than any combed slick black hair preacher. He is looking for weak effeminate preachers who have a public reputation of teaching good, teaching bible, teaching the cross, even mentioning the name of Jesus. He is not concerned with the name of Jesus as long as he can slip a lie from time to time within a message. In fact, Satan himself could preach circles around the best of your favorite preachers. Once he has convinced you enough times in order to swallow truth with deception, you’re a dead man walking, once a believer, now on the way to hell. To the church: Rev 3:15 “‘I know your works: you are neither cold nor hot. Would that you were either cold or hot! 16 So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth. 17 For you say, I am rich, I have prospered, and I need nothing, not realizing that you are wretched, pitiable, poor, blind, and naked. 18 I counsel you to buy from me gold refined by fire, so that you may be rich, and white garments so that you may clothe yourself and the shame of your nakedness may not be seen, and salve to anoint your eyes, so that you may see. 19 Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline, so be zealous and repent. Rev 3:1 “‘I know your works. You have the reputation of being alive, but you are dead. 2 Wake up, and strengthen what remains and is about to die, for I have not found your works complete in the sight of my God. 3 Remember, then, what you received and heard. Keep it, and repent. If you will not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what hour I will come against you. 4 Yet you have still a few names in Sardis, people who have not soiled their garments, and they will walk with me in white, for they are worthy. 5 The one who conquers will be clothed thus in white garments, and I will never blot his name out of the book of life. I will confess his name before my Father and before his angels. 6 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.’ Please enlighten me and correct me if any, on the scriptures I have used. I could go on and on the times God’s Word warns believers in the church and have given you multiple examples God warnings through Jesus and the apostles. I pray you come out of the false church system and be saved, not swallowing everything you hear from the pulpit.

Good afternoon Pastor Dave- I just found your channel and was drawn to it because of your teaching on Calvinism. I used to listen to John MacArthur quit often and always learned from him. I heard him preach on Lordship salvation-it left me a little discouraged realizing that I hadn’t made Christ Lord of my life ALL the time in every area every day and began to doubt if I was even being sanctified-thank goodness I didn’t doubt my salvation but I can see how some could.. even now hearing you speak of it makes me cringe. My heart is to please the Lord but I know I surely don’t always do it but I am pressing toward that high calling of God in Christ Jesus. I wondering if his belief in Calvinism doesn’t have something to do with that? How could a God who has redeemed you before you are even born say you may not be saved if you are not growing every day and never having a time when you are not--I hope this make sense-it probably doesn’t 🥹

Matthew 24:47-51 proves you wrong. The servant who says, My Lord delayeth his coming, and who begins to abuse his fellow servants, and to be drunken, will be given his portion with the hypocrites." Salvation is covenantal, not contractual. God requires us to remain steadfast and to endure unto the end. "To whom much is given, much is required." "Beware those who come to you in sheep's clothing but who inwardly are ravenous wolves."
@ibelieveitcauseiseentit9630
@@PETERJOHN101Actually Jesus proves YOU wrong. He says (in John chapter 6 among many other places) "truly I say to you whoever believes in me HAS everlasting life." He says HAS (CURRENT POSSESSION) ETERNAL life. (Eternal means without end) And I could point to a thousand other passages that prove you wrong as well. But to call someone a wolf for believing the words of Jesus is absolutely disgusting. And the Bible says you will answer for every idle word you have ever spoken. So you will answer for calling Christians wolves for simply believing the words of Jesus. As for the passage you described in Matthew. The one who began to beat his servants was not a true believer.
@ibelieveitcauseiseentit9630
@@PETERJOHN101As for the passage in Matthew.. Matt. 24:45-51 The evil slave represents an unbeliever who refuses to take seriously the promise of Christ’s return (cf. 2 Pet. 3:4). Though he is an unbeliever (as demonstrated by his punishment-see note on Matt. 22:13), he is nonetheless accountable to Christ for the stewardship of his time. Jesus was teaching that every person in the world holds his life, natural abilities, wealth, and possessions in trust from God and must give account of how these things are used.

No-one will come to Christ without first the conviction of sin by the Holy Spirit Justification is a work of God the Father and the Holy Spirit in us and without us. Justification and faith do not have a sequence in time but in order Faith- Justification but are simultaneously in time. Sanctification is a work of The Holy Spirit in us but not without us. Justification and SANCTIFICATION cannot be separated. There is no sanctification without justification or justification without sanctification, this even when sanctification is just a begin of regeneration through all our life. Faith is by Grace and the free gift of God. The Bible teaches us the Justification of the UNGODLY. [Made/ declared Righteous. Based only on the righteousness of Christ] Not a believer is justified. The UNGODLY chooses SIN by nature. Sanctification is called Fruits of the Holy-Spirit. James 2: 20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works [read FRUITS] is dead? Faith First then Fruits of Faith There is a general working of the Holy Spirit in the hearing of the Word that convicts and precedes faith but not always leads to salvation. See the parable of the sower. The plow is needed to make the soil good to receive the seed. Conviction is a work of the Holy Spirit and without no-one will come to Christ. Never lost is never saved. Jesus came to save the lost.

If you say you believe in Jesus, what do you believe if not that He is God and Lord over all? What do you believe if you do not bow your heart before Him? To believe in Christ means to agree with and believe what He said about Himself. There can be no confusion on this. Christ justifies, (makes righteous) those who believe in Him. Christ sanctifies (cleanses and sets apart as separate from the world and consecrated for God’s special use) those who believe. These are together.

And what did Jesus say about himself? 1 John 5:8-13 KJV And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one. [9] If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son. [10] He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son. [11] And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. [12] He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. [13] These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. He that BELIEVES has eternal life. No other requirements. Believe in the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ as the payment for your sins and you are saved forever.

The problem with once saved always saved: Hebrews 6:4-6 KJV For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, and have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, if they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame

@@toddstevens9667 it says that one can't be renewed unto repentance even after they partook of the Holy Spirit. They haven't just backslid but have completely fallen away. They are reprobate. This is the correct passage and verses. We don't inherit eternal life until we die that's why Jesus said endure until the end. He said my sheep hear my voice and follow me. We don't follow for 24 days then turn back to a life of sin, no, we follow until death. Jesus said to abide or else we can wither up and be cast into fire. Jesus said to cut out that which makes you sin here on earth than to enter hell with that sin. Jesus said to go forth and sin no more. Once saved always saved is a false and man made teaching conjured up by John Calvin in 1509. It doesn't teach repentance. There is no salvation without repentance. Hebrews 6 confirms this. The Bible clearly teaches that many can and will fall away and can't be renewed unto REPENTANCE. There's that word again that followers of John Calvin despise. It's because they love their sin and refuse to repent. Stop following John Calvin and follow Jesus Christ. The path is straight and narrow and few will find everlasting life. Are you on the narrow road or the broad one?

The “salvation” (“justification”) of Abraham in Genesis 15 was followed by a lifetime of obedience to God, including the attempted sacrifice of Isaac in Genesis 22. The “just believe” doctrine skips the part of making the LORD God, Christ, your God to follow and obey. If Abraham had not lived a life of ongoing submitted allegiant faith and had not offered Isaac, would he still be in the Kingdom of God? No. Hebrews 11:17-19. Luke 13:22-30. John 5:24 (NKJV): 24 “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life. AND if you truly “believe” you will obey His words, Jesus’ specific message, doctrine, and call to His disciples to follow Him: John 8:51 (NKJV): 51 Most assuredly, I say to you, if anyone keeps My word he shall never see death.” John 12:48-50 (NKJV): 48 He who rejects Me, and does not receive My words, has that which judges him-the word that I have spoken will judge him in the last day. 49 For I have not spoken on My own authority; but the Father who sent Me gave Me a command, what I should say and what I should speak. 50 And I know that His command is everlasting life. Therefore, whatever I speak, just as the Father has told Me, so I speak.” Matthew 7:21 (NKJV): 21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Absolute surrender, submission, willingness to obey at a minimum, is the key distinguishing factor for Christ to be inside of you at all. John 14:21,23,26. Acts 5:32b. 2 Cor 13:5. Rom 8:9. If He is in you, and you “abide in”, “continue in”, “remain in” His words and He in you, and you in Him, this is the life of the disciple. If you do not continue in Him, you can be cut off. John 15:1-11. Rom 11:22. Therefore, work out your salvation (present-tense continuous) with fear and trembling. Matt 10:28. Phil 2:12. Why would you fear Him, and to not sin but obey Him, if you were just going to miss out on “rewards” and not heaven? That is ignorant folly. Your Father is raising obedient children! Why disobey Him and receive His temporal or eternal punishment? Our God is a consuming fire, serve Him “acceptably with reverence and godly fear”. Heb 12. You must overcome, and with Him inside of you, you can do so, unless you do not have Him in you and you do not believe Him in such a way as to obey Him. If your conduct shows to you that it does not really matters at all whether or not to obey Him, because of false OSAS/Eternal security teaching, you are near to falling from grace. Did Christ “save” you to still remain in your sins (Rom 5:21; 6)? No! His “salvation” (justification) leads you into a life of godliness, holiness, sanctification, e.g. holy living, righteous living, godly living (Rom 6:19,22) by following His Holy Spirit and putting to death your flesh (Romans 8:13). You don’t keep the “no condemnation” of Romans 8:1-2 without you cooperatively putting to death your flesh, your sins BY HIS SPIRIT within you. If you have leaned Christ at all, put on Christ and put off the sins of the flesh. You cannot “be holy as He is holy” without Him inside of you to do so, but you are commanded to do so. What did Paul preach? In Acts 20:21 Pauls says he preached “repentance toward God and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ” both to Jews and Greeks, the same message. Not a different message to each group. Paul preached repentance from sin, not just “believe” (Acts 26:20), to both Jews and Gentiles, and he preached works befitting repentance. Jesus’ own commissioning words to Paul told the apostle he was being sent “to open their eyes in order to turn them from darkness [sins] to light [Christ] and from the power of Satan to God [from serving sin, mammon, the world, the flesh, idols, demons, to serve God instead]. WHY, so “that they may receive forgiveness of sins [] by faith in Me” (Acts 26:18). Paul’s commission included telling people to repent from their sins, not just “believe the gospel”, “believe on Jesus”. Repent and believe. Change who your God is to the Lord Jesus Christ, forsaking all other ‘gods’, ‘idols’,’sins’ to follow Him alone. The devil believes (James 2:19), but your belief must mean much more than the devil’s belief, wouldn’t you agree? You are to “abide in”, “continue in”, “remain in” the teachings of Christ to have God, to have both Father and the Son (2 John 1:9). See also John 14:23 & John 15:1-11. If you say you believe and know God and are God’s child, then purify yourself as He is pure and stop sinning (1 John 3:3-9). If you say that you cannot stop sinning and “everyone sins”, have you not read where Peter tells us to “CEASE from sin” (1 Pet 4:1) and be not as those accursed children who “cannot cease from sin” (2 Pet 2:14), because all those who desire to live godly will suffer persecution (2 Tim 3:12), and therefore they will “cease from sin” (1 Pet 4:1)? No temptation is beyond your ability to resist it, so what is your excuse for not resisting it? You have none. Even if it means you must resist sin to the point of shedding your own blood. You have a choice to resist sin and serve your Lord. But why would you stop if you think you can do it over and over again and still get into the Kingdom of God? Indeed, are we not told Christ has set us from from sin (not just the penalty of sin) (John 8:34-36, Romans 6)? If your theology of justification does not comport with godliness, what good is it? Rom 6:19,22 say our “salvation” leads us into a life of holiness. Repent of false doctrines which tickle your ears to continue in your sins because you were “justified”. Sins will lead to blindness, hardening and callous hearts, eventually darkened, and to spiritual and physical death, not life everlasting.

@@medic4christ777 “I am of Paul, I am of Apollos”?? Really, isn’t such immaturity condemned by Paul? Even James, the brother of Jesus, and the Apostle over the church in Jerusalem, had something to say about what Paul wrote. If you hate what James wrote, then confess you deny James as being inspired scriptures. Go ahead. Or, use some dispensational viewpoint to contextualize the audience in such a way you can ignore the parts of the NT you disagree with or that doesn’t agree (seemingly) with Paul. And while you are figure that out, go ahead and acknowledge you agree with everything Paul wrote, including what he wrote in 1 Cor 16:22, and therefore, be careful if your doctrine leads you to throw out the gospels unless you are willing to throw them out as uninspired or addressing a different audience. Surely you cannot dispute the books of Timothy and Titus? Did you never read that grace teaches us to deny ungodliness and worldly lusts and that we are to live soberly, righteously, and godly (Titus 2:11-12). Careful as you refuse to acknowledge any obedience to Christ (thinking it’s a “work”) that you are not then cut off from Christ (John 15:1-11), calloused in heart, and a conscience burnt with a hot iron, given over to a strong deception. Read Romans 6. Notice Rom 6:19,22 both tell us our walk with Christ becomes a walk of righteousness, righteous living, called ‘sanctification’ or ‘holiness’, which leads to the expected end result, eternal life. Without holiness, no one will see the Lord (Heb 12:14). This is not an imputed holiness or merely a state of being “set apart”. 1 Thes 4:3-5 clearly tells us the will of God for us is our “sanctification”, that we should abstain from sexual immorality. This is something we must do/not do, and we are able to do so by the Spirit who has renewed us and lives inside of us, or something is drastically wrong with the “gospel” or the traditions of men we have permitted to deceive us in our walk with Him. 2 Cor 13:5. It’s deceptive talk which ends in the same place; a burden filled message of self righteousness. The fruits that Jesus refers to are not law keeping. The fruits Jesus refers to are the spreading of the seed, the gospel, which when planted on good soil produces a harvest. That harvest spreads its seed, which multiplies the harvest. The fruit Jesus mentions is THE GOSPEL and the great commission. It is not an accident that there were two fruits in the garden of Eden mentioned. One fruit was from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil (the law) which ends in death. The other tree is the fruit of life. Are you willful in not wanting to know the truth, or do you want to know it no matter what it costs you? How can you have no ears to hear the answer when it stares you in the face? If you believed great! Now grow up and walk with Him as a mature son and as a surrendered disciple to live and die for Him. Are you His disciple without Him being your Lord? Are you His mature son (Greek Huios)? Yes, I believe the scriptures, the whole counsel of God, teach us to follow Christ, His teachings, and to become His disciples, and to mature from being “unborn/infant” (Greek Brephos) into fully mature adult sons (Greek Huios). An unborn is not an infant is not a small child is not a toddler is not a young child is not a older child is not a teenager is not a youth or young adult is not an adult is not a fully mature adult is not a father of children. And all this maturing is by obedience to Christ teachings and His Spirit which renewed us and lives inside of us. Without His Spirit we are nothing. Without answering His call to follow Him, knowingly or unknowingly, He will not give you His Spirit. His Spirit is “given to those who obey Him” (Acts 5:32b; John 14:23). If you believed and really received His Spirit, and were really renewed by His Spirit, then it is only because He could see you will obey Him if it was not something consciously entered into at the first . If you do not progress, mature, and produce fruit because you are not following Christ (His words & Spirit) then you are in danger of being “cut off”. The assurance of faith is because obey His words and you have His Spirit, unless you do not have Him. Does 2 Cor 5:17 ring true to you? Does Romans 6 and John 8:34-36,51 speak to you, witness to your spirit, as not only objective truth, but the truth you are walking out because you know the subjective Truth of the One who is supposed to be living inside of you? You cannot live the Christian walk without Christ. 2 Cor 13:5. Rom 8:9,13. The fullness of your salvation is not present when you first believed - you did not already receive your immortal body and pass thru the judgment day. To pretend the meaning of “saved” is complete without you living out John 15:1-14 is to deny the very teachings of Christ which you are commanded to follow by Paul (1 Cor 16:22) because to love Christ is to obey Christ, otherwise “let him be accursed”.

Most protestant apologists and preachers out here on RU-vid do exactly that. They start off with the disavowal of Luther and Calvin, and end up with the precise submissions made by the duo. Yes. Salvation is totally free. But it's just never enough to claim to believe in Jesus Christ. Even the demons believe in Jesus. They know who Jesus is. Ergo, you cannot simply say you believe in Jesus Christ and call yourself a Christian. You must "carry your cross and follow" through in the footsteps of Jesus. In the humanly possible way, you'll do for others what Jesus Christ has done for you, including sacrificing all that you have. That's the very meaning of the word "Christian". Period! This infantile doctrine of ONCE SAVED ALWAYS SAVED is most ridiculous and pitiable, and must be graduated from if the believer must make sense of the Christian faith, make progress and grow up in the faith.
