It's not an environmentaly safe way of fishing. The chain mats plough up the sea bed destroying so much of Marnie life's habitat. The belly and underside of the trawl wears away into the sea bed leaving tons of tiny plastic particles in the sea. Tons and tons of waste fish is washed/discarded over the side. The crew themselves are guilty of throwing much waste over the side, the list goes on and on. I'm as guinea as anyone because I was a beam trawler man 81 to 93
