The Dark Pool is my favorite album ever. You absolutely have to listen to "Red Summer" or "The Haze". Or the whole album. It is truly so amazing.

My favourite song of 2019 according to Spotify. Also my favorite musical discovery of that year! Fittingly Joy (another of their songs) became my most listened of 2020, despite all the other good music that got released that year - just because this band is nuts. Love that you've gotten around to checking them out. By the way, I really like the way you divide your videos now! That way it's easier to resume watching for me when I have to interrupt.

HEY I didn't expect you to react to this, ooooh I'm so glad you did, definetely one of my favourite songs of the genre. I also have to say that I love you put chapters in the video!! This is literally perfect to go through your reviews, because even though they're always on point, (really, I haven't found anyone that matches you're ability to detail and expose everything) I have to admit that I almost never go trough all of them because I don't have the time, so this is perfect to go directly to what interests me the most. As always I really appreciate what you do, and hope you continue to do these things as long as it makes you happy :)

Absolutely love this band (and this song). My favorite thing about it is that it never repeats a section. Just all-around fantastic songwriting.

So their new album is coming out soon, They have drastically changed their sound with the singles that they have released. Now they sound like a modern mix of Deftones and Muse, but a bit heavier. You should check their song Arkangel

Enjoyable overall, but I think the vocals are easily the standout, both in the quality of the voice and in the vocal melodies. Beyond the vocals I didn't find the instrumental work as impressive or interesting, but they serve the song well enough. Other than that I guess my only issue is that it's definitely an "iterative" rather than "innovative" track as there isn't much here that sounds new or original. It's the kind of thing I can enjoy when it comes on but probably wouldn't seek out to listen on my own.
