DIY compact compost strainer with electro motor. Easy to transport and compact for storage. After 4 years I need to replace the wheel, closest to the motor. Easy to do and cheap to buy. I use the sifter about 3 times a year.
Thank you so much for sharing this , this is the most brilliant, simple but effective design that I have found for one of these (and the only one that you can break down easily for storage or to move), the other more complicated designs I probably wouldn't have attempted to build, mine's even simpler as I didn't need adjustable poles and It sifts great, thanks again!
I can play with the inclination by just adding a some plywood at left or right side, but then the soils moves faster, so mostly I used like this. Depends also how wet the soil is.
Nice compost! Now you need a "Crusher" to crush and grind those big bits so they can further compost. Thats what i am going to do. It would help mulch those bits of bark and things so they can be composted also NICE i need to make this
Like the siffer, AND the silkies running around you. Where are you in this world?, I had silkies long time ago, and are wondering of getting them again.
I would build one of these trommel/sifter but then I would have to hire someone to load it because they don't make a shovel that will fit my hands. wink.
Hello. Can you tell me what the mesh size is and the thickness of the gauze? Can you lift the front size a little bit, so the thick pieces go only to the backside? Nice machine!
