Hitting a jumping neutral punch on an air borne opponent will bounce them back up. You can hit about 3 of them in a row in the corner and then go into another follow up
The alt vortex special move is reaallly good in the corner. You can slide into an enemy, back kick and immediately vortex to keep them in the air. Super easy to extend combos with it! Super excited that you made a guide on my favorite character in this game/
I wondering why I was only able to do that sick thunder slam grab attack only half the time...I had to grab an enemy while they were facing away! And I didn't know you could change their direction by jumping. Hate how I couldn't find that out anywhere else no matter how hard I searched.
Minor correction, his back grab jumping slam is an atomic drop, and not a pile driver, which would require enemies to be head first like what Sugar does, or Haggar from Final Fight/ Zangief from Street Fighter.
if you want some expert opinion on how to play cherry in SOR4 maybe hit up The Mighty Bill! he's a speedrunner who uses cherry a lot. would be really cool to see your editing and voice combined with his insane game knowledge
I've always loved playing as Max, in the second game he was the slowest but hit the hardest. And anyone caught in his Back Breaker could kiss their butt goodbye! Its great to be able to play as him in 4, he and Floyd would make an awesome wrestling tag team, LOL!
Good guide, I want to learn to play Max properly to get high in Survival, but so far I've noticed if the game throws two Bongos at you in a boss stage Max comes really short. He can't jump high enough to get over Bongo's fire breath and two of them easily end up overwhelming him due to his low mobility. Usually, if I don't have the big elemental upgrades when I get the Bongos my run is over.
7:07 Body Slam into the corner like this always combos into Spinning Knuckle Bomb! (right before the opponent takes a knock down from the Body Slam) This is also how you can perform an other one of Max's infinites. If you use up 2 of your wall bounces, like in this very same combo, you can use SKB's first hit to use up the last wall bounce, then the second hit to instead launch the opponent straight up. From there you can link a jab into SKB for the infinite juggle. The Spinning Knuckle Bomb should look like this part 9:23, only it'll happen after the Body Slam ps: I said always, but I dont think this works against heavier guys
@@underthemayo I would like it if you made guides for other characters as well. Grinding combos in training sucks w/ Adam when I barely understand how to structure my combos.
Mayo, what's your opinion on Rage 2? Talking about the shooter here, not Streets of Rage. I would say that the combat is better than Doom2016 but not as well designed as Eternal. I do however find some of the guns to be more satisfying to use than the equivalent guns in Eternal.
did mayo change his mic or has his voice changed, just listen to some of his old doom videos or the god of war review, then come back to this. I prefer his older voice.
