You did a better job of explaining that tool than the tool manufacturer did. Not kidding.

100% true! This was far more helpful than anything else I've read or seen from the manufacture, any hardware outlet, etc. Thanks for taking the time to explain this!

I had no idea what the "wings" were for. turns out that those are used for pulling off faucet handles not the ferrules

Please keep doing these videos. You were clear and concise with instructions. You explained valuable information to those of us who aren't experts in plumbing. Thank you. Kudos to person with camera. Liked the close ups.

Thank you so much for this video. The directions on the tool were very minimal and I was trying attach the little swinging legs underneath the nut, all kinds of crazy stuff. 🤣 I just didn't have the piece of the tool that goes inside the brass piece in place. I thought it was for the other application of the tool. 🤦‍♀️ It's a simple tool when you see how to use it right. It's very effective and ingenious. Thank you again for showing me how it works.

Your definitely welcome, glad the video helped you out, because I remember back in days I roughed it off with pliers 🤦🏾‍♂️, what a disaster

Great tool. My _only_ complaint is that I wish the 2 arms used to pull faucet handles (which make this a dual use tool) were easily removable. They're not needed to pull compression ferrules and when you are doing so in a confined area they just get in the way and can be a knuckle buster. Other than that though, this is a great tool.

You are definitely a person that knows what they are talking about especially when you said “ when you have to use them in a confined space “ it could be a knuckle buster because that’s happened to me more than once and even with a couple of cuts as well… you definitely on point

Your video is a life saver! I was not using it properly and almost went crazy! 😅I had not seen that little extra piece that goes at the button. Or first. 🙈

Oh, OK. I can do that. I'll make, yet, one more trip to the hardware store to buy one of these tools, only because it is cheaper than calling a plumber.

Any recommendations on how to make the fitting fit into a damaged pipe? I can't get mine in.
@spinks4integrity
@spinks4integrity 6 месяцев назад
Yes, if you can slightly fit it on, you can gradually work it all the way through to fit

The thin adapter doesn’t go into the copper tube, what can I do?
@spinks4integrity
@spinks4integrity 4 месяца назад
There should be two sides, a smaller, and a bigger size to fit inside the pipe. If that doesn’t work, you can get 1 of 2 different tools, a flaring or expansion tool to expand it. Your last option is to cut the pipe, and start fresh
@Nabil8565
@Nabil8565 Год назад
So there is no need to cut pipe using that tool? Can i use shark bite shut off valve or ii's necessary to cut pipe?
@spinks4integrity
@spinks4integrity Год назад
Definitely no need to cut pipe, because that tool will help restore pipe once you remove nut, and yes you definitely can use Sharkbite fittings afterwards.

@@spinks4integrity I was thinking this tool in the video only does 1/2 pipe
@roadracer1584

I bought this tool last week. Don't buy it. It's a piece of shit. I couldn't get the compression sleeve off of the copper pipe because the brass threaded part was not deep enough to screw onto the compression nut. The compression sleeve was too far away from the end of the copper pipe for this tool to work. I had to re-use the old compression nut with the new toilet water shut off valve. Fortunately, no leaks.

Sounds like you improvise, and it worked out for you, but the tool is truly a good one
