If you are fixing a leak from a water shutoff valve and the valve is a compression sleeve this tool will save your life it cost about 25 bucks and is well worth it especially if your house is older with lots of compression water shutoff valves

Thanks for showing the stuff other videos don’t show - like the problems you encountered when trying to pull off the compression ring that was stuck on the tool. I’m assuming if you put the tool behind the nut (Pasco’s instructions say to do that) you still could end up with the compression ring stuck on the tool. So thanks for showing the problems you had.

Very much appreciate the detail. You are correct, everything on support videos , "suddenly is done and completed correctly"! Life is not like that. Thanks for caring enough sincerely!! Very helpful! :)

Try pulling on the nut behind the ferrule instead of the ferrule itself.

It's real nice to see someone work and not have a ego and shows & tells the truth. THANKS FOR NOT BEING A KNOW IT ALL.

I’m definitely not a know at all most of this stuff I’m doing for the first time, so I do make a lot of mistakes but I think that’s good to show people because we’re not perfect

You're supposed to leave the nut on, use the puller behind the nut, this video would have been 2 minutes instead of 4!!!!

Exactly, it’s suppose to catch the nut which will then pull the sleeve.

I just seen it on Amazon, the Pasco 4661 for $56.00. I also seen the Lasco 13-2706 Compression Sleeve Puller, for $30.82 and they look identical except for being red in color.

Back off a little bit and rotate the tool at the end. Okay looks easy enough. Better than trying to saw the ring or pulling with a plier on it.

Thanks. Your demonstration only works if you can push the nut far enough back to put the tool in front of it, like you demonstrate. Otherwise it has to go behind the nut and that can take a lot of force to remove a frozen or damaged ferrule with this tool. I like another kind better for that reason. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-y0ikqzSz-DQ.html or ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-7KDe8ACKjwc.html FYI you don't need to use channel locks to remove the ferrule from the tool, just keep unwinding and it will pop off the end.

Excellent tips and information. I am sure that our viewers will appreciate that as I do and thank you for watching.

Disagree. The superior tool is garbage in my opinion. The other is ok but you are tightening down the nut which compresses the ferrule a bit making it harder to pull off. The PASCO is far superior. This video does a poor job of demonstrating how to use this tool.

using it on short stubby piece of copper tubing was why it didn't come off cleanly as cyclist and tvpostsound alluded to (ie, put puller behind the nut).
