Just started getting into Conan exiles and I can honestly say this series has been one of the best beginner guide series for any game I've ever watched, really helpful, entertaining, and lots of info
this series is gold, its basically like a super guide to everything in conan exiles. everytime I have a question about how the game works, i always come to this channel
Your videos are always so helpful. I had trouble getting the fangs because I was using the wrong tools. I did some searches and some said used a sickle, use a cleaver, use a hatchet. Watched you use your skinning knife, farmed the big worm again and VOILA! I got my fangs. Almost enough the first time to complete my Reptilian Armor. Thanks so much.
You may have already known this but i learned it earlier just messing around thought I’d share for any who may not know, the fat grubs that ya see laying around near noob river I hit one with my hatchet and pick just thinking they’d disappear turns out you get way more hitting them than just running around picking them up lol thought I’d share for those who don’t know how to make the compost box but wanted to set fish traps
Hi, just some info here, the glowing stick despite being legendary it can still be repaired to its full 20 minutes. Great video, learned some stuff I didn't know.
Thank you Angaar for updating this series foe 2023/Age of War. I am following along in my own playthrough and some of your more efficient techniques, I am pleased to say I stumbled on to myself. I would ask could talk about knowing at what level of one's self and thrall do you need to need to accomplish major milestones? For example, not only the Dregs but Valis the Loyal in Hunaman's Grotto or the three skull world bosses. And also, what is important to seeing the lore and plot and what can be skiped.
this series is brilliant like tbh id rather just have a episode of this every day even if its non edited and just like raw footage id still watch it started the game yesterday and been following the guide and my journey so far been buttery smooth tho now i dont really know what to do from here so if anyone could help me by giving me a little hint about what u should do now would really appreciate it
I hope you do the same tour for all the other dungeons. good stuff. Also, at some point would love for you to do a "best 10 base locations" for solo players. :)
Took 7 video's to get to a theme that I think I knew everything you mentioned. I did forget about all the glowing goop in there so that was helpful, I have collected that staff before but never really connected the Tower of the bat to be the sort of "next" thing. So you are teaching me about the lore a bit and that is very helpful as well. Thanks for all the videos.
Hey Angaar, Right where you called stop twice to get your thrall back, to the right is a way down to a 3 skull spider boss. I don't recall seeing this on my last couple of runs through the Dreggs. Perhaps it's something new they added with Age of War. Problem is your thrall will die if she engages it, mine did as I didn't realise it was a 3 skull!
Yep, they was not there when this video was recorded. The new bosses appeared in Chapter 2. I revisit Dregs in a later episode to show the 2 new bosses and legendary chests
Love The Dregs. It's a fun little early dungeon. I have always wondered about the location of the Darfari weapons knowledge. By the time you can handle a camp with that many mobs, the weapons are not helpful. It is surprising that when you agro the skeletons they don't run out of the Dregs and attack your horse. 😁
When it came to the salamanders I just figured they were hiding because of the Boss in the pit. They always appeared when I came out usually I walked all the way out. And they were there. I never thought they were bugged. I would walk out to harvest the ichor n such. Interesting thanks man
Not sure if they've fixed it, I'll have to check, but the Abysmal Remnant used to be extremely weak to the poison gas throwables that you can loot off of many Thralls. A couple of gas clouds used to be enough to kill it.
Yeah Angaar, I have to say, all your videos are super helpful. Now, if only I could get my wife to watch these instead of asking me 😅 That's the trick. This game is glitchy on console, the sentinels don't even appear, but its still a blast. 🤷♂️
I fucked up massively in The Dregs. Amongst those Komodos was a boss Komodo and it killed my follower and horse. I am so annoyed. Also there was far more skeletons than this video and it was a really hard fight against like 5 of them on my own. Managed to get through to the final boss but before getting there there was a side room with a giant spider sat in an acid pool, let it well alone lol. The final boss fight was weird because there was times where it would ignore me and start regenerating it's health.
Those optional extra mini-bosses and extra skellies were added in Chapter 2 (after this video was made). I return to the Dregs in a later episode to cover the changes.
Oh Angaar I finally finished ur vid. Before you get to the first skelly you missed the room on the right side before the stairs down that does sometimes have decent stuff.
@@AngaarUK they might have changed the drops. Considering it's the easiest dungeon you can do early game I wouldn't expect it to do anything higher than steel ya know. Maybe gold but highly unlikely IDK
Thanks for this beginner guide for 2023, it;s much appreciated. I followed your guide and you missed something. at least when I went through it. Before going into the boss the square room just before it had stairs going down to the right. When I went in there was a big spider in the room. Has this happened to anyone else?
Hi, this video was recorded during AoW Chapter 1, and the addition spider and Komodo bosses were added in Chapter 2! I do go back in a later video to check out the changes 👍😎👍
Just completed this dungeon solo after the 2nd try. I was running a strength build with the Stygian raider set, an iron targe, and a perfect steel battle axe. First run, I wasted most of my aloe extracts on the skeletons. I got confused at the last drain room, and ended up fighting the giant spider, thinking it was the one calling me. There were WAY too many skeletons in the dungeon. By the time I finally made it to the boss and began fighting it, it got stuck in a loop of gnashing it's teeth at me. At the same time, I saw that it started healing itself from the damage I did. Since I already ran out of arrows, I tried jumping into the pool to damage it, thinking I could jump back out. I got stuck between it and the wall, ending my first attempt. On the 2nd attempt, I brought my own bow with about 6-dozen flinthead arrows. I almost got killed by a horde of at least 5 Dafari, including the Brute. After they were dealt with, I ran past most of the enemies in there, since I didn't want to waste time with them, again. I almost died to the skeletons in the webbed room, again. Seriously, I hate how they all swing one after another, and I didn't have enough time to block most of them with my current build. Eventually, I made it to the Remnant, and when it started biting at me or just lost interest, I pulled out my bow & pelted him with arrows. After coming up onto land enough times, I finally managed to slay the beast! It took me a long time of solo grinding to get this far, and I'm really glad I didn't give up on this game. Your guides have been absolutely CRITICAL to my own success. And for that, I thank you.
I remember I was beating that boss after a fresh start, he isn't hard, just dodge his ranged attacks, wait for it to jump on the floor and then apply bleeding stacks with daggers.Stone daggers😂
Hi Angaar, great guide as always, 1 thing though, once you go to the Dregs you need to change to the Dungeon Journey, it should be available but it doesn't really tell you, like the Vaults Journey in Siptah it gives you the AoC Ranger Outfit which with a T4 Armourer gives 8% Agility Damage and is in your favoured Medium Armour. It's probably the best Journey Reward in the game so well worth doing. Now if they Change the Reward for the Priest Journey from the totally useless 10 incense to a copy of the Mitra Raid costume from AoC that would be awesome
I've never ever had a reason to go left. I just kill the camp and bee line it to the dungeon. And come through the left side(right side if facing the dungeon, but left side coming from the vents)the way back, stopping to attune my bracelet and back slaughtering the camp on the way home.✌🏼
My first time in the dregs, i got my thrall killed against the Giant spider boss you conveniently ignored in the video. than i got thrashed by the skeletons in the room before the last room before the main boss. not knowing how long that dungeon would still be, i noped out of the dungeon. now i litterally facepalmed watching that i was so close to the boss. well, next try tomorrow i guess.
Conan, the game that the less armour you wear the more protected you are When you start new I recomend you hit this dungeon before you even build a shack, it is possible to do with stone weapons and will give you a significant xp boost before you even get started proper in the game.
What do you do with your horse before the dungeon, do you make it guard somewhere, or just left it at home? if you guard it somewhere outside the dungeon, you have to run back there to get him?
Typically I would just leave the horse following (handy to help carry stuff) but I believe I did park him outside the camp in this instance, which does involve a run to get back to them 😞 Thanks for watching 🤘😎🤘
AFAIR, all Cannibal Brutes were female so far, never saw any male. Also some guy researched that those Cannibal Brutes have best damage multiplier, I dont think they're the best thralls overall, though.
They do appear to have the best damage multiplier at the moment, but really low HP so you would need to do some supper careful levelling and be lucky with perks to get them viable for later game. Also I am not convinced that Funcon meant to have a noob river "friend" be the strongest in the game, so that may get nerfed in an upcoming balance patch!
I tried out The Dregs for the first time yesterday and I don't know if I just sucked or if it's because skeletons are OP or if it's because of the combat changes, but I was lv 39 and my lv9 or 10 noob river named thrall, decked out in heavy armor and a steel mace + iron shield, got killed by the Devourer which I finished off afterwards. Then I had to continue solo, but got ganged up on by all the skeletons in the next room. It definitely seemed like there were more than 4 in there and they all agro'd on me at once. They kept staggering me, I couldn't roll or jump out of their way. I died in a corner and then got stuck in an infinite death-loop of running naked through the dungeon, getting stuck in the same corner again, trying but unable to pick up my loot. I couldn't get out, I just wanted to take my gear/loot and leave. I tried looping them around the room, then sprinting to my corpse, but after I died like 3 times, it just wouldn't show me my inventory anymore. There was a pile of my corpses and deathpoles all in the same corner and 4-6 skeletons surrounding me in the corner, beating my naked ass into the ground over and over. I was decked out in full heavy armor and we both had steel weapons with iron shields. I was so mad I just ragequit and restarted the game on different account! Shit was infuriating. I don't understand how quickly stuff went to shit. XD
Would you ever recommend using the bow and arrow as an actual weapon? I'm working through my first playthrough and really enjoy the aspect of agility weapons, but finding bows to be a little lack luster in terms of damage...
@@AngaarUK I've moved to mace and shield, but currently overgearing the starting area and too scared to move. I've been farming the cave you used for Brimstone for thralls...
Lot of people saying it is the best thrall in the game due to that x3 damage multiplier. However it does have really low starting HP (400 I think) so you would need to do very careful levelling to boost their HP and get extremely lucky with the 3 perks to give them decent health for later game. Also I am not sure if Funcom mean't for a noob river mob to be the strongest in the game, so that might get nerfed down in a later patch!
The Cannibal Brute is a bit of a glass-cannon, if you know what I mean. Can deal A LOT of damage, but can't really take it in return. However ... If you luck out on the stats, and feed her steak, making sure her Vitality goes up every level ... And you luck out on the Perks, or re-roll them until you get some Vitality boosting Perks ... And you give her good armour ... Then she is a Combat Monster!!! I have her, and Thugra, who has only slightly lower damage modifier (I think his is the second highest) and the two of them have killed everything I have gone up against so far. Snowhunter and Berzerker are far better rounded, overall, but if you want to go for MAXIMUM damage, it can be done!
@@Kashmere34 Good luck! But if you don't ... one good thing about them is that they are a guaranteed spawn at their location, so it is easy to go get another!
Yeah, but that's how games used to be. Assembling the Big Goron Sword in Ocarina of Time. All of Majora's Mask. Mortal Kombat Fatalities. The Secret Cow Level in Diablo.
Early days of the game, if you used a pick on a tree you got one type of resources and if you used the hatchet you got something different, does that still happen or did that get changed? Also at some point you were able to craft a pickaxe which could replace both the pick and the hatchet and free up a slot on your item bar but it did not give the secondary resources that the pick or hatchets did, is that pickaxe still in the game.
Sadly no, the Battle Pass is just to earn the items from that chapter's Challenges. However once you earn them, they are yours forever on your account, and also if you complete the first Battle Pass you will earn enough Crom Coins to buy the next one for free.
Yes, you need to level them to increase their HP and attack power. Also they get random perks at lvl 10, 15 & 20. However a Tier 4 will have much better starting stats than a tier I, II or III.
I thought you have to do this dungeon 3 times to get everything. One gives armor another weapons and I forget the 3rd one. It gets harder each time. Anyways I'll try to find out.
@@AngaarUK Stupid me took my horse in with me and boy, did it get in my way. I died in there by falling into the pool of acid so I will give it another run without the horse this time.
@@dynaelder5037 RIP horse 😢 Normally it is fine taking a horse into a dungeon with you, but as you say they can get in the way with limited space. If you do take them with you, set their follow distance to max to keep them further back
Done this in solo, everything was ok. Tried in a public server, hardly reached the last boss since the skeletons kept spwaning. Then tried to fight the boss, after one attack he stops fighting and heals immediately. I've looked for answers around, and people is complaining about this issue since at least 2020. How can they ignore BS like that? It makes me want to quit and I'm angry since I really liked the game so far....
Wow, never seen that happen before... and I have been in there a LOT! They did add 2 optional bosses and more Skeletons to this dungeon in the AoW chapter 2 update.
These days it is safe for her to attack for melee distance as they don't get affected by the poison pool any more. And she does much more damage with that Perfected Steel Axe than she would with the basic bow. However, if you have a Agility spec "friend" and a decent bow and arrows that is certainly possible 😎
@@AngaarUK oh thank you, I saw a video of someone saying they cannot attack in the pool . I saw some numbers on your video and I thought they were high for bleeds. So then there is no longer any issue not to use them! I am learning a lot from you, I have only played a few weeks, thank you for your content
I have a question. As someone who favours archery, I have never understood why there's no QUIVER!! Red Dead redemption 2 is the same. All the realism and no quiver. And now, with your weapons staying on your body, I'm even more pissed. The bow looks highly ridiculous without it's best friend. Why would this even be thought of?? Anyone know??
Agree, they should definitely add quivers, this doesn't really answer your question but if you play single player you can use the mod Immersive armors, there's a few quivers there, hip, back and lower back quivers i think.
better bow and so fine desing is a fine. Bad, not a lot people have a good comp , or PS5 for some reason. Glife and shany item are beautiful, bad not a good for that. That it. And Quiver? It symply. How meny thralls are you see with a bow? they are neddet moor point and another have nothing. A lot people say: Quiver for a Bowmancer, ok. What for a melee character moor?
bro, how its possible that that slug made your slave so less damage than the 3 starts scorpion near the 3 star cocodrile to my canival berserker with even better gear at 15...or the slug damage is trash or the scorpions its stupid high xD
It is an early game low level boss. The 3💀 scorpion is a tough boss that does poison damage which goes straight through armour and stacks, so will take a lot of hp
@@AngaarUK fk the scorpion, and the guys in the way of the volcan, i went there with my berserk, all fine and 3 guys in just coarse gear beated the shit out of her in around 1-2 min. In coarse, the thing you make in the 2 first minutes...the same place they tell you to go for gold when you start alchemy at low level...i want what the person in charge of this kind of things smoke, like the rogue chain mision, that force you to kill sand reapers for the poison and the recompense are stupid ass iron daggers xD
I think you're right, I checked my online game that I started before the new Age against the single player I just started and that journey step just doesn't show up.
