That baffled me too, and I don't think Conan just said it to be nice. At 37, if she met a man today it would still be too late to have any children without serious risks, if at all. And the fact that she disqualifies most men with her height requirement is an immediate indicator of why she's still single. No man is good enough. Five more years and she will begin asking where the good men have gone.

Men shouldn't be shorter than 6'. Just saying it means your lesser of a man and that you only grew to the size of most women. I'm 6'3" and I approve of my own message.
To get older: Subtract 7, multiply by 2. So, 37 → (37 - 7) × 2 = 60... Conan is an April 60. If she's an Autumn or Winter 37, he's creepy old for a relationship by months...
Does anyone know *exactly* which pen Conan is referring to? I've googled Pilot precision grip and there's no such thing. There's a Pilot Precise grip, which is close, but not exactly it. Also, there are lots of different variations - 0.5mm, 0.6mm, 0.7mm, 1mm, then there's v6, v7, v10. I'd be interested to try one the way he raves about it, but it's pointless selecting a different one and thinking it's the same.
I was trying to work this out too. If I'm a Michael Keaton era Batman (1989) as Keaton was the first Batman I was conscious of, then two younger would be George Clooney (97), or Val Kilmer (95) if Keaton counts as two Batmans as he was in two films? Eh, roughly the same as the half+7. But since I was born before 89, I might be an Adam West Batman. Which means that, according to one interpretation of this guide, if you were born in '95 (29 years old as of 2024), it is socially acceptable for you to date anyone from West, Keaton, Kilmer, Clooney, and Bale, as long as it's before Ben Affleck's Batman of 2016: 19 year olds as the youngest, and no upper limit. I'm not sure of this Batmans guide.
She points out one of the biggest problems with dating right now as a man. She's 5'2 and wants some one over 6' (a very small portion of the population as is). Here I am, 5'7. Everything else about me might be amazing, but because of a physical aspect that I can't influence at all, I wouldn't even be considered.
I'm 5'9 so short as well, but I don't think it's wrong for women to want to date a tall man. Dating is super easy for women relatively speaking, if it was as easy for me I'd only date women with atleast a C cup. Human nature to want to date up.

What if she meets a guy that's 5'11? Although he's noticably taller compared to her, her unreasonable requirement 6' is going to rule him out unfairly.

@@wheelbite14 I was looking for a pen that wouldn’t ruined my uniform while I was in the navy. Pilot G2 has great glide but had a tendency of bursting while I was doing antenna maintenance on the mast of an aircraft carrier. Basically safety harness put extra pressure on the pockets. I needed a switch so I wouldn’t be out 100 bucks. if an ink stain got on my uniform but I still wanted those bold lines. You can’t live without the boldness.
Unfortunately for her, the statistics are not on her side. The odds of her finding a guy that tall at her age is low. Not only that, but because she's cute, she'll expect an attractive guy, and if she's even moderately successful financially, she will not be content with a guy that doesn't earn more than her. Which decreases her odds even further. A guy a few years older than her up to let's say 50 that has those traits is going to be able to find a younger, more attractive woman. So if she finds a 60+ year old guy that is interested in her that meets her requirements, she needs to run with it. Because the odds are really not in her favor. Please don't shoot the messenger, these are just the harsh realities based on statistics.
Agreed but there's still plenty of abundance out there. As sad as it is to say, statistically speaking she will probably never find what she's looking for, and might even end up alone forever. But if you're a guy you'll still have options. Go for a younger woman that is fine with 5'8" or whatever and stay away from women like this that think their happiness is in a number.

Don't let it discourage u. A lot of us short girls prefer anything taller than us, so if we're already 5 feet, even someone at 5'3" has a chance. Personally I don't care for height or looks, just make me laugh.
what? he says the answer. it would be minus 7* 2 which would make 60. You can check yours by doing the reverse 62 divided by 2 = 31 + 7 would be 38. It's solve for x when you do x/2 - 7 = y which is x = (y -7)*2.
If you're 37, you should date someone at least 37/2 +7 = 25.5 Now how old can you be to date a 37 year old? You do the reverse calculation to get 60 since 60/2 + 7 is 37.

It's a simple abbreviation. Shortening Mathematics to Math is no different to shortening Chemistry to Chem, Physical Education to Phys Ed and so on. Just because we Brits abbreviate it to Mathematics doesn't automatically make us superior.
Neither do men. No one knows what they want until they either already have it or return it to the store with the receipt a few times and then finally just give up because they can’t find the exact thing they’re looking for.
