oh my goodness, I remember seeing this in high school and feeling so inspired to be an urban birder. lovely people. and conan very much looks the part with that vest. I love it. ❤❤❤
In England birders are called "twitters". True. Nostalgia when they played, "The Bird Is the Word" because most people who aren't Detroit Tiger fans (or enthusiastic baseball fans), probably don't remember Mark "The Bird" Fidyrich. His antics, like talking to the ball, and sort of lanky, goofy movements while on the mound (tall, red hair), he got the nickname "The Bird". Now, I have no idea if that song was already around or not, but it got huge airplay in the Detroit area and it was played everyone he started a game. Unfortunately, after he left baseball he went back home to Massachusetts and his family logging business and was killed in a logging truck accident.
