First Conan has a soup and salad combo, but then upgrades to his own sandwich at the Stage Deli in NY. Update: The Stage Deli apparently closed in 2012. Oh well, no more Conan Sandwich.
He lacks some of the enthusiasm he used to have, although maybe those were all clips from Friday shows lol A lot of the old clips he seems so wound up and full of energy, now he just sort of sticks to the same routine. Not saying he is worse though, I am a huge fan.
It's sad that I found out about Abe Vigoda's death by seeing these RIP comments. Well, RIP, Abe. I hope Conan pays tribute to him on his show, since Abe used to be a huge part of the old show.
Conan in better than Kimmel and Fallon. I'd rather watch these Conan videos than watch Fallon try to act like he is some famous singer/dancer on his show every night, lame!
Jim Walker Kimmel and Fallon show wasn't even around at that time. and I agree with you, I get the feeling that Jimmy Fallon always behave kind of awkward on TV and he really can't make good jokes by himself.
Conan is definitely the best talk show host. Fallon is hands down the worst! Fallon's fake laughs are unbearable, and we'll have him on the tonight show for the next 30 years. I'll never watch it as long as Fallon is the host.
both Conan and that owner are so damn smooth - at 5:44 Conan gestures towards the sandwich with no intention of shaking that man's hand, the man realizes mid extension that Conan was just gesturing but keeps his hand out to receive, and they both redirect attention towards the sandwich and complete a butter handshake while referring to the object in focus as if it were all intentional. that is the definitional opposite of a handshake fail and simply oozes total self-assuredness
I'm growing steadily more persuaded that the old man is actually famous Jewish mobster Bugsy Siegel, who supposedly died decades ago, but we know better...
Shinigami Not a lot of cheese. Maybe a slice on top and one on the bottom. You are right though, it is so thick I don't think I could eat it without a fork. I have been told I have a big mouth but I'm not sure it's big enough to tackle that sandwich!
leifcatt Yeah, they sure pile the meat high. I think I would want some cheese myself, and maybe some au jus sauce; but not if it were that thick. That's not a sandwich, it's a choking hazard!
in the Stage Delicatessen three hundred terrified, horrified witnesses saw me leave Joe Corsin, Maitre d, bouncer bleeding! Right?! Hemorrhaging from the mouth! Cops were gonna pinch me! We squashed the beef with seventy-five hundred CASH! Gangsta talk! RIIIIIGHT!
Him saying about putting M & M ‘s on the sandwich... That’s funny years later they did an m & m commercial with that song @6:28 when he ate that sandwich lol
Abe Vigoda, long time film and TV actor. Probably most famous for playing Tessio in The Godfather and Fish on Barney Miller. He used to appear on Late Night all the time.
