Hi! I'm the owner of SmartCarry and just want to say thank you for the great review! Just a couple of things to add... All of our holsters have a waterproof lining to prevent moisture damage and we have upgraded the materials to more durable fabrics which last a bit longer and you can really feel the difference. To thank you for the review I would love to send you a new Holster! Please email me at info@SmartCarry.com so that I can get that out to you! Thanks again!
The review is really helpful. I was confused in selecting a proper holster, but now I have decided that which one to buy. Plus, this review has helped me find a comfortable and an excellent quality holster. Thank You!
Did you try moving your belt buckle over slightly for the Urban Carry to accommodate the shortcoming you mentioned? Also, did you follow the manufacturer instructions and use leather conditioner on it and work the leather to form fit it to your Taurus? From what I can tell from the video it does not look like it. They specifically tell you to use the 30 day trial to break it in first for best comfort and function. I would like to see you fully condition it and break it in and then use it regularly and give us another review. Also, I don't think the Urban Carry prints all that much. It just looks like you have a large wallet in your pocket or something.
For tucking in the shirt, why can't you just tuck it in UNDER the holster or just put it on over the shirt. Wouldn't it be much easier to draw that way? It still wouldn't be visible.
I don’t think I will ever carry a loaded firearm that is pointed against a femoral artery or anything in my groin area. As convenient as appendix carry is, it just isn’t for me. I always follow the rule of not pointing a loaded gun at anything I don’t wish to shoot and I don’t wish to shoot myself.
Purchased an Urban Carry a couple of years ago. Worst holster ever! Uncomfortable, difficult to draw the firearm, very bulky. Avoid at all costs! Smart Carry has done well, however.
Good luck getting to the gun in that Urban Carry holster from a seated position! Not gonna happen! Reholstering the Tagua with your finger in the way?! No thanks! Anything goes wrong and you wind up an instantaneous amputee!
