Best purchase since my rower 4 years ago. Very versatile - relax and spin or limp away from intense intervals. I find it very difficult to hop on the rower and just chill. Not the case with the bike - great way to wake up or wind down. It filled that hole in my routine. Of course, you can bury yourself if you're feeling it. It's small enough to sit in the corner of the living room, too. Love it.

They are aimed at the under 50s! Lots of people, men and women, row both competitively and for fitness into their 60s-70s-80s and yes beyond. Much of this is not ‘old folk’ rowing but is HIIT. It is often said people who are 50 look like people used to look like at 35. The same maths now applies right through the age range. So come on Dark Horse Rowing and other WODs remember us too! Of course my times in my 80s are not the same as a fit 35 year old ( loss of muscle power) but at 84 I can row 2000m at 7-37.7 and I don’t hold the World Record for an over 80 that is 7-26.6. So we buy or use Concept2, train consistently 230 times in a year, so please remember us and direct some programmes towards the Masters.

Dark Horse Rowing in fairness I do follow your training and have found most of it very helpful. One could say that whatever one’s age one could follow your training programmes probably at lower splits. I think my feeling is that all the ‘models’ you use, your occasional guests, the whole premise and projection is aimed at the bucks and us old bulls running at the back of the herd are air brushed out!! However there are some practical points, even though I warm up, do pre session stretching etc, I cannot reach as far forward as a 40 year old so that my drive is shorter, any tips!? Also because of the shorter reach my seat does not come as far forward which means the drive is less efficient. Next time you are out and about look at some older rowers, those that are serious rowers and see how they perform and think how you could help within Masters Rowing. , i think much of what you say and demonstrate is fine whatever the age, however there are difficulties through age which with a good trainer can be compensated for. Please think about it. Best wishes Mike

I've been riding my BikeErg for three weeks. I'm loving it! It feels smooth, like my road bike.I love the "gearing" effect I get from damper and cadence changes. I've been doing "hiit" workouts with my model D rower and free weights. FanTAStic addition to my home gym!!! Love watching your assembly of it. I put the handlebars on backwards too... LOL

I just ordered mine last night, and Concept 2 has already shipped my bike . It’s expected delivery day is Monday and today is Friday. Talking about great customer service . . . I expected it to take a couple of weeks. Thanks for your great videos on the 2 bike. They helped in making a decision to buy the C2.

Great unboxing...I love my bike erg..so versatile, so smooth, and you get the pm5 monitor that we are so accustomed too. Concept 2 hit it out of the park with the bike erg!!

Use the parts box to assist with the build, it holds the main body of the bike level to connect the rear seat stantion

It's a great machine. I use it to warm up before I go out into the hills. It'll be interesting to see what row-bike workouts you come up with.

Have one coming tomorrow and I'm quite excited! It's been sitting in the local UPS facility since 5:00 am, two days ago. :( Maybe the only drawback to a holiday weekend.

Seems like a huge drawback may be the noise factor. I don't mind noise for rowing, but I get the impression a lot of people want to be able to make their own peloton style setup at home on the cheap and hearing your video/instructor might be difficult here.

Just start to wonder if the rider sweats a lot during workout, it seems easily to get sweat on the exterior of flywheel even get sweat inside the chamber. Is this a proper concern?

Those cranks look way short. Your pedaling is way to choppy. Not a normal looking cycle stroke. Anyone else see this too. Crank arm length is 170. According to Concept 2 neither the crank or arms are changeable. So a 5' person and A 6' 5" person will be stuck on the same crank arm length. Room for improvement here..
