Govt of India has to reduce the retirement age of govt employees from 60 years to 50 years Then, a lot of vacancies will be created and youngsters can be given job Govt does not have the will power to take strong legislations against the organised sector of govt employees. Rajdeep and co, can you cite examples of autocracy where the judiciary and the parliament has been overruled? Just because BJP wins does not mean Modi is autocratic, it means the opposition has to up their game with an alternate model which can convince people that their plan and ability to deliver is better than that of BJP. Unfortunately, there is no current or anecdotal data to back up the ability of Congress to convince people.

Why there were protests about onion exports only in Maharashtra and nowhere else. In 23-24 Maharashtra farmers reduced the onion crop by 85%. Can anyone put light on this?

Because central govt banned exports of red onion which comes mostly from Maharashtra. However there was no ban on exports of white onion which come mostly from Gujarat. Difficult to justify and voters r angry

Only way to correct the Urban/Rural divide is to ensure farmers get a good price on their goods, otherwise it is slavery. The urban middle class is squeezing the rural class. In context of India, giving government agencies the full go to cleanup is important, it worked for Singapore generationally. Giving companies a blank cheque to do what they want is a bad idea.

2004 -- BJP got 138 seats -- COngress got 145 seats -- JUST 7 seats more -- How come India voted for COngress ?. It was COmmunist with 60 MPs and other 10 local parties come toogether to form very fragile government where PM had no control on Railways ( given to BIHAR party ) telecom ( given to TN party ) Civil aviation ( given to MUMBAI party ) etc..

Even Ian Bremmer on NDTV Profit said - 300 plus or minus 10 to 15 seats. 285-315 seats would mean borderline victory for BJP. There is a possibility of BJP not winning 273 seats. Sad Ruchir Sharma's and his team could cover only 4 states. I wish he had covered more states. Whatever he shared was nothing new. Even Chris Wood had said if BJP lost elections markets would correct by 20-30%. Chances of Modi not getting 3rd term is low ...based on what political pundits have shared.

. Come to the vital point. The technological development and compete with others who are driving a knowledge-based ideology. What you are saying is the poor are getting freebees and happy and the rural getting stock market money and want mode modi. Can a country run like this for a couple of years?. No. The system will collapse as foreign earnings are almost nil. Not a healthy economy and development planning. This govt may be effective in shutting the mouths of the public. In 2004 the FDI inflow was 0.8 % of our GDP by 2014 it had become 1.7 % of our GDP. But Modi has brought it down to 1.47 %. This has happened when the world and its brother have been following China plus one policy. India has missed this opportunity. Not joining the biggest trading block in the world ( RCEP ) in 2019 was a blunder committed by Modi.

So freebies are bad. Great. What about selling all public assets to one industrial group. Also great? Our country stands at 127 in per capita GDP. So what if we are the 5th largest economy. The rupee is in the pits and make no mistake that is the surest way of transfer of wealth from poor to rich countries or people.. During Manmohan Singh's tenure, our GDP grew from $ 709 Billion to $ 2039 B in 2014, a Jump of 2.87 times. In 2024, it is estimated to be 4 Billion, While Modani could only double it. Our GDP per capita grew from $ 624 in 2004 to $ 1560 in 2014, a Jump of 2.5 times, While Modani is estimated to make it $2800 in 2024, a jump of 1.8 times. So, who has done better for the Indian economy? Even our SENSEX jumped 5 times during the UPA era while growing only threefold rise during the Modani era. Should all Stock market investors not vote for INDIA Grouping? I wonder why this data is not seen by this Hindutva Andh Bhakt.

Rajeep makes factually wrong statements and goes unchallenged. What a bummer. One could write a blog pointing out his falsehood. One point to illustrate my view: There have been so many reforms in the last 10 years, but he does not see those as important as in coalition government. The nature of coalition governments is such that there much less common ground for reforms.

Reading the comments below, one can again understand why they are called Andh bhakts 😂. Dont they understand the stock markets ? It runs on Fundamentals, Technicals but also on speculations. They want positive news around. Else their hard money in lacs and crores are at stake. Dear blind devotees, if today, even if Shakti Kapoor was our PM, people like Sharma would speak mostly positive things. Show me one interview before any elections where the market representatives speak negative points about the incumbent government. He also said there is no wave of any sort . Because in rural area they depend on farm, with 2nd generation land divided in to two family but still they want to depend on that only,,, 3rd generation again it divided in two more family I am a farmer and i know the rural reality Now in urban area, once son or daughter graduate they do something even if its low salary its income addition This is one of the majoe reason for income inequality On sears in Maharashtra, RD i know u like to hear what u want but if bjp maintain seat that good enough for them because they are 300 seats if alliance loss seat its not going to impact

I agree with what Ruchir Sharma's said about Modi and work ethics. Agree with all the compliments or adjectives he used for PM Modi. Recently, when Rahul from India Today took his interview , I found his replies so dumb. Especially when Rahul asked about the K-shaped recovery post pandemic. And what comes along Modi is not acceptable. It's time to take a break.
