A Documentary I made about Ivan Higgins who owns a garden center in Liverpool N.S. who every year in the winter months makes huge weird and interesting concrete sculptures which he displays at his garden center.
Hi Nick, I wish I could understand how you fill the forms with concrete and do the outside of the form sculpting. Any chance you have a video of those processes?
No but you can find some great instructional videos for making concrete sculptures here - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-EHBv6Z-ilc8.html
Mr. nick thank u for this video God answer my question for years I was wondering how it was done but let me start by saying you are a great master and I always want it to make a american soldier from viet nam era in concrete I served with the 3rd Inf. Div. and the 9th Inf. Div. and that is my dream even with one arm I will do it I don't know when I would finish with it but you gave me a lot of inspiration and I thank u again sir from a DAVeteran.
How wonderful; your talent, imagination, skill and your sharing this video will live on for years to come. I just discovered the concrete medium and found your video from over ten years ago. Very inspirational.
I love your videos. The only problem is I have to wait long time before you come out with another one. I want to know how do you make the fiberglass casing for the latex to go into. And I mix my cement the Same as you said now I have a problem with them falling apart. Please help thank you Susan Dunsavage
I hate how artists act like anyone can do this. Sorry but it takes an artist to shape the rebar and mesh much less sculpt the concrete. Very few can do this.
