These dyes are used as a coloring in the mix design itself. You maybe thinking of acid stains or wter based concrete stains which are a different thing.
Would stucco pigment be pretty similar? I couldn't find the ingredients on La Habra cement stucco pigment. I love the color & want to use it for a cement mold or with quickcrete mortar mix. what do you think...terrible idea??
In the paste form ,you should wear gloves ,as it will stain skin.For dry pigments you should wear a rated dust mask while adding to your mix.Gloves as well when handling dry pigment.
