Learn how to conditionally format cells and/or rows of data from another range of cells to make a more visual impact. #GoogleSheets #ConditionalFormatting #Data
This was the perfect walkthrough I needed to help me understand how to get the entire row to operate with conditional formatting !! Thanks a ton! - Jared
Alright I think I spoke to soon! Lol… maybe someone can help…? I have a Google Form that is linked to a spreadsheet. I’m trying to add another column to help me manually select/track the progress/status of data that comes into the Sheet from the Form. In that status column I have “Complete” as a drop-down menu item, and I’m trying to make the entire row have conditional highlighting. But this method you teach in this video isn’t working for me… :( Do you know why that might be…? The only thing I can think of is that it won’t work with a sheet that is linked to a Form where data is automatically recorded to…?
Hey, is it possible to color a cell if the cell next to it containts a specific letter? Im trying to get a good layout and would like to see if "A" is next to "B" and so on
is there a way to do it based on qualitative factors of another cell? like if another cell is bolded make this one too, or if another cell is green, make this one red etc
Hi. I wonder how you can have an open set of fields that you want to be flexible with, and change the individual cell's format, but a group of fields that will individually change to those formats when you put in just the word? To explain my self. I have a list that could say and formatted -- unassigned - white field, regular black text start - white field, bold black text in progress - blue field, bold yellow text 80% complete - green field, bold yellow text etc... and the list grid will have the single fields change to those when I just enter the word. but I also want to add a differenct word and format whenever I want, that will change in the grid's individual field too.
This does not work in my case, I have a description in column A, I have column X value derived from countif function, which ranges between 1 to 7, I want colour of cell in column A changes when column X value reaches to 7. This formula described in video does not work for my google sheet
Hi. My goal is to find a way to copy a cell and text color to copy the origination of a cell's and text's colors. For example, cell a2 has the word "completed" and the text is bold red with the cell's color purple. When I type "completed" in cell c35, it automatically makes that cell's color purple, and the word becomes bold and red. How can I do that without a script?
what if i want the row to change color only if a certain column is not empty. Foe example, I want 1) If column a3:a is not empty, the color should change to green 2) if column AH3:AH contains any date (not certain date), or is just not blank, color should change to red
