ConExpo Las Vegas 2023 (Day 1): show walk-around 

It’s super exciting to finally have a kit for big-booms which is manageable for just one operator (our guys, myself included are not getting any younger, and whatever we can do to keep our backs intact is for the greater good of everyone).

@@fronabargerconveyingpumping sorry we missed each other. This show was just way too huge!!! We’ll have to meet up WOC next year. That one is pretty easy, all the pump guys just linger for 2-3 days I’m the central hall (where all the pumps are) 😁

I can’t really speak to this specific incident as all I know of it is second/third hand information. What I would mention is that there can be any number contributing factors whether it be mechanical malfunction, maintenance/lack thereof, or misuse of the machinery at some point during its lifecycle. It’s really tough to pass judgement with regards to any of these situations in our industry without having first hand information from all parties involved, even though we as operators love to play CSI/who done it (it’s just in our nature). It’s probably no secret to most that I am a huge lover of Putz equipment, but have seen many of these manufactures whom are newer to the North American market really step up their game. I will probably always be a Putz guy at heart as that is the equipment which I learned on and am most comfortable with, but I can honestly say that there’s at least one or two rigs from each of the major manufactures which I would love to get my hands on! Apologies for the somewhat overly political response, but we’ve seen the eventual demise of several concrete pumping Facebook forums over the years due to the classic Putz VS Schwing VS Alliance VS Concord type arguments. It typically begins as a playful Ford VS Chev type banter, but seemingly always winds up going down the rabbit hole of outright slander. My goal with the comments section here is to keep it constructively critical without becoming an outright dictatorship, something which the Facebook groups Line-Dawgs as well as Gentlemen Concrete Pumpers have done an exceptional job at. I much appreciate your regular contribution to the comments comments my man 🙏🙏🙏

Name me a brand who hasn’t had a boom fall off, I’d bet money you can’t. My DY has been absolutely amazing, along with the customer support being top notch, the welds on my pump look great, so I don’t know what you’ve seen. Not all manufacturers have a guy you can call at any time who can tell you anything you need to know about anything on the pump, don’t knock them until you’ve tried them

@@nathankrcelich8444 I’ve always been of the opinion that whichever takes care of you in terms of parts and service support is likely the best fit for a business (lots at factors which play into this, geographic location being a big one). Glad your happy with the DY. They seem to have a great group of people on this or team.

Two trade shows in about as money months. I’m almost starting to feel guilty….. almost 😂😂😂
