Exploring Las Vegas ConExpo, trying to find potential customer and I was successful! #conexpo #plasticinjectionmolding #customer #sales #salesprocess @tyri-lights Tyri lights
Congrats, Matt. You learned something, as did I. You are not just a pretty face, playing in the mud, and shooting things. Excellent questions, attitude, and interest in the potential customers you spoke with. You have made me acquire a whole new level of respect. Thanks for sharing.
This was fun to watch. As someone who quite often has issues being motivated, it is always fun to watch someone who is motivated to do what they do. :)
Nice vid Matt, we need to really look to U.S. manufacturing for our products as much as possible. Thanks for the video Matt, appreciate you taking the time to do those interviews.
Well done Matt, I used to sell back in the day, and you have to put in the steps if you want success, but you always have to remember it just takes the one, and you go from zero to hero, this brought back memories.
Good day for walking around and fishing for work !!! You are correct, this is the best way to find new companies to work with. I think you made some good impressions there, it was good for some of them to let you record bits of your conversations. There are some interesting innovations out there, let's hope you get a slice of some !!! 🤞 My Dad used to do this at kitchen and bathroom trade shows, some of his customers had stands in similar venues here in the UK. One memorable deal he struck was with an Italian kitchen door manufacturer, he ended up driving around his customers with an Italian camper van ( small RV) that had a shed load of door samples and kitchen units that they made, he got some funny looks when he turned up at some of their showrooms 🤯🤣
I had to work many large trade shows in the past. Long tiring days. Automotive used to use bulbs and clear plastic light pipes in radios. Ray casting software was used to predict performance at different locations in the light pipes.
Matt that was an impressive and very educational episode 👌👍 Other think, i suggest to you to make your own App that on it , you can present the solutions for a large variety of costumers from a large variety of production companies , and you be the mediator between them
Matt, my parents had an RV dealership here in MI for many years. I got to know the business rather well. We would go to the big RV/Mobile Home show in the Elkhart/South Bend area. It was a fun day wondering around enjoying the "free-bees". You have a most serious reason. Good luck and I hope your "dogs" were not too tired at the end of the day.
Mr millennial, who are you prepping for in NY? I was the tooling operations manager and a moldmaker for Syntec Optics for 32 years have since semi retired and living in TN now. I bet we know a lot of the same companies and people.
@@nyamillennial Small world! I assume Empire Precision plastics in Rochester NY. I retired from Syntec Optics right across the street in 2017. Do you make it up to Rochester at all? I'm back in NY for the summers, Would love to get together an share notes this summer if you are in Rochester. Keep the videos on the castle coming. I also follow you on DP's channel.
Ive never been to an expo before but I really liked what you showed us so next time an expo is close to me Im going! Thanks for taking us along! Much love from Henderson Ga
Saw Mike (Dirt Pefect), and Chris (letdig18), and Mike (Dirt Boss) over in the Volvo booth, were you there at that time too (the fan meet-up 3:30pm on Wednesday)?
Like your enthusiasm Matt, let's hope you get lots of work from the show, is there a lighting trade show anywhere if there was you could have your own trade stand. 🤗
4.6M square feet boggles the mind. I worked a trade show at the Sands and it was ~630k square feet and I had to hustle to go and link up with people during my breaks. It was a long 5 days and then a red eye back home. Kind of glad I don’t have to do trade shows with my new gig. They can be fun, it’s great to make the connections . . . but good night did I want to sleep for a week after I got home.
If you want the rabbit you gotta get in the briars. Not stand on the edge of the field. Just like what you’re doing at ConExpo getting in the briars looking for that customer.
You need a Lavalier mic when you do those interviews the audio is bad . And its *SALES Approach what is it with Millennials and the transposing of Sell and Sale lol
@@nyamillennial Can't wait to see where you are going with the Castle... Where you and your wife thinking of an air b&b?. Maybe host weddings. Or just a roadside cantina where the good old boys can swap lies and watch sports. (Staying tuned in) Best of luck we will be watching.
