I love to listen to him........he is such a calm and friendly being....:-).....the only thing I don`t agree is the thing with the cow-milk-calcium-thing....and I always wonder why the recommended diet is vegetarian and not vegan?....because especially the milk industry is very cruel, which in my opinion doesn't resonate with the yogi life
In Ancient Indian tradition Cow and Milk have been deeply studied. There are 2 types of Milk that we used to get in India before the Milk revolution "Operation Flood" when Western Jersey and Holstein cows were introduced> It was from Native cows and buffalo's. Native cows are unique to Indian subcontinent , some parts of Africa is that they produce less milk however because of hump in the back they have medicinal properties as it absorbs sunlight. The color of Milk is also not white but yellow. The by products of mIlk like Butter milk and yogurt have amazing properties. If you want to remove flatulence and gases and want to reduce weight one should consume Butter milk . In Yoga and Ayurveda Ghee milk from Cows milk is used in most medicines and is supposed to have calming affect and medicinal properties. For a western being (I am not talking abuot west a geography but west as a mindset ) this is difficult to comprehend and result is veganism. Though Veganism is amazing but it has its limitation and is another extreme to consuming meat
Shamik Tiwari thank you very much for the explanation....it is interesting to hear about that perspective.....I would agree that milk from free cows (i mean those not abused in industrial farms) have their benefits.....but this is nearly impossible to get here in Europe, only maybe if you have your own cow.....:-)
Iris L It is true that you find it difficult but not (as you said) impossible. As an Indian, I can say this easily because in my village we have cows which go around freely. Now I am living in Denmark and I see some of my friends in Sweden manage to cultivate the same habbit. Sadhanath sadhyathe sarvam :)
It is very frustrating to try and follow what Sharath is saying because the sound is so bad, i spent so much time trying to hear what is being said and I finally had to give up, getting about 1 word out of 10 ; it's very annoying, not to repeat frustrating!!!!
